#4 Posted: 3/19/2012 2:27:02 PM Did you actually watch him play last year? What makes anyone think he can be a long term winner in the NFL? Is it his slow release? Is it the fact that he holds the ball too long? Is it his 46% completion percentage last year? Is it the fact that he's not accurate? |

#5 Posted: 3/19/2012 2:51:35 PM i don't see how this answers jacksonville's need for a QB in any way, but i agree jax should trade for him for what it would do for ticket sales. no one is excited about gabbert or henne.

#7 Posted: 3/19/2012 3:59:35 PM yes, henne is much better but henne won't sell tickets like tebow in north florida and the team isn't going anywhere with henne so they might as well make it interesting with tebow.

#9 Posted: 3/19/2012 5:34:02 PM Jacksonville would sell out season tickets within a month of landing Tebow.....not to mention the vacant luxury boxes that have been killing thier balance sheet.
I take Tebow over Blaine Gabbert, right now with no questions asked. It is just sound business to sell Tebow to Floridians. |

I agree with this really. Sell tickets make money grow the fans base. So what you go 7-9 or something like that if the stands a full every week and selling 1000's of tebow jumpers |

#11 Posted: 3/19/2012 5:40:38 PM seems like a no brainer. they screwed up by not taking tebow in the draft. now tebow is at the height of his popularity and denver will probably sell him pretty cheap because i'm guessing peyton wants that sideshow out of town. why wouldn't jacksonville do it?

#12 Posted: 3/19/2012 5:46:25 PM Mark my words. Chad Henne will be starting for the Jaguars by week 10 of next year.
I've said since the first time I ever saw Chad Henne throw a football for the Dolphins that once he left Miami, he would be a top 10 QB. |

I blame most of his failures from two years ago on the offensive coordinator Dan Henning. How can a young quarterback succeed when he is not allowed to call audibles at the line, only two or three receiver plays are called, and the wildcat kept being called which took Henne out of rhythm ALL the time.
Look how Henne tore it up early in the year last year, week 1 against the Pats he lit them up to no end. (Yeah the Pats D sucks I know) However strictly from a talent standpoint, Henne has all the tools that a top 10 QB needs.
The biggest problem with Henne is what is going on inside his head. He struggles a lot in crunch time and doesn't seem to be a true leader. I also place some of the blame of that on the coaching staff (not all, but some.) It always seemed to me that the staff wanted him to fail and never gave him the confidence he needed. I wish Sparano would have stood up and said "Chad Henne is our quarterback. Win or lose, this is the guy our whole team is going to stand behind. THIS IS OUR GUY." He never did that, he always seemed to be throwing off-hand insults to him.
Maybe its the fact that Henne by far has the best tools the Fins had at QB since Marino. Maybe its the fact that Henne grew up 10 minutes from where I live, I'm not exactly sure. I truly feel if somebody will actually back this guy and give him a truly fair shake, that he has what it takes to be a top ten QB.
Will it ever happen? - Time will tell, but I wish nothing but success for Henne and I wouldn't even mind if he lit up the Fins the next time he faces them. I just hope he gets his head on straight and obtains the confidence that he lacks and takes his game to the next level. |

#18 Posted: 3/20/2012 3:49:47 AM Tebow won't be starting QB for anybody next year. Maybe starting fullback or Tight end yeah. But starting QB?
Not even for the Jags will he be starting. This dude will be lucky to even be a backup somewhere. He needs to just realize that he's not a QB, and be a running back already. His NFL career will last longer.
