GB is not going to play their starters and if they do it won't be for more than a half. If Detroit has any interest of winning that game, they will.
OH.... well in that case....
Common really. That easy huh? You think Detroit is gonna come balls blazing? You dont think Detroit would rather play your overrated niners instead of offensive teams like Giants or Dallas? You think Detroit is going to show Green Bay anything just in case?? You may be right and Detroit COULD come to take that game. But lets not get ahead of ourselves. It all depends on what DETROIT LIONS wanna do and who they wanna play. And even though I want to play the East does not mean the Lions dont wanna rematch against niners. Oh and the NFL might want to see that rematch again. Just sayin...

You haven't really thought about this have you?
The Lions would play the Niners in the second round in they WIN Sunday, not lose.

Im a die hard 49er fan to the end. We have had some ugly wins, but im going to take them with pride:) This has been a long time coming for us!! I think NY will beat the Cowboys, and we may be looking at playing the Saints on our turf!

Yeah I forgot the Niners won already. You sure do assume a lot of shit!

And chances are if Lions do make it to the 2nd round then we would probably play Green Bay. So have you thought this out? I see you are assuming a lot of shit thats for sure.

The discussion of the NO-SF game is interesting. I'm surprised to see people think the Saints would be favored on the road.
As for the game, yes the Saints will be able to throw on the 49ers. However, scoring in the red zone could be problematic for them, thus FG drives. If the 49ers can score TDs instead of FGs on their scoring drives, they will win. 49ers should win TO and starting field position.

Bring on the playoffs, i'm kind of a NFL playoffs guy since '86, love betting on the tournament.
I hear you bro. I have done very well in the NFL tourney over the years....save for the bath I took on the Pats in the '07 Bowl.

Pats just plain sucked in 4 SBs, they went 1-3 ATS only covered once when they were double digit dog against the Rams. Also NE lost something like last 5 ATS in postseasons.

Its likely going to look like this
1. GB
2. SF
3. NO
4. NYG (or Dallas)
5. Detroit
6. Atlanta
Round 1
Atlanta (6) @ New Orleans
Detroit (5) @ NY Giants (or Dallas)
Falcons are pounding Bucs now, and it seems Detroit will play at New Orleans next week.

I just re-read my initial thoughts on SF/NO.
Note to self: stay away from the media and forums; they can cloud your judgment.
Tough game looming next week after GB destroys the Giants today.
