#28 Posted: 10/4/2009 7:58:38 AM Washington -9 here. Just because most of you egg heads are taking Tampa. In reality, this line should be 3, to 4 at the most. It's 9. Granted, Washington can't beat anyone including Detroit.
Sometimes a gift isn't a gift. It's a fat broad lying next to you in the morning when last night at the bar you thought she was HOT and took her home.
Take Washington even if it goes up to 10 |

After last weeks wake up call vs the Lions, the Skins win and cover at home. The offense comes alive on Sunday.
Sorry to say colonel, but you couldn't be more wrong. Born and raised around this city and have watched this organization fall apart for fifteen years. There is nothing to wake up because, there is NO OFFENSE. You can not call pass plays that do not work, and the then call play action, without even establishing the run. This coach tries to establish the run with the pass but the pass is NOT THERE. The top five D you are used to seeing just will not become this year because of a HORRIBLE coordinator in Blatche. It just seems like the defense doesn't even game plan to stop certain aspects of the other teams offense.
TAKE WHATEVER POINTS THE SKINS GIVE AND THE UNDER UNTILL PROVEN OTHERWISE. |

YES, sometimes they move the ball well. Until they get near the goal line. The Redskins will always be the Redskins. From 20 to 20 they look awesome sometimes/most of the time IF they are moving the chains. Once the going gets tough they have no faith in JC, everyone KNOWS they ONLY run left. All these things would have no effect had the redskins been productive in those areas. With the production, they are the same old almosts'. Hey atleast they make field goals in this era right!? |

#35 Posted: 10/4/2009 11:53:42 AM The skins move the ball, they just can't finish. The offense isn't as bad as people believe. They were stuffed on the 1 on 4th down last week would have scored 21. i think they get it together this week against a TERRIBLE bucs D (21st against the pass and 31st against the run) and cover this one. The Bucs are starting Josh Johnson at QB, fellas.

#37 Posted: 10/4/2009 12:03:12 PM Washington NEVER beats anyone by more than a TD but they will beat the Bucs today by 10-14 pts. I cannot believe I just said that.

#38 Posted: 10/4/2009 12:10:03 PM Rookie qb making his first start on the road. Skins have a lot more talent and need to make a statement this game. Its only a matter of time before some of them FG's become TD's and they figured out Santana Moss still plays last week.

These teams are both desperate for a win as the Bucs enter 0-3 and the Skins at 1-2. They know that their division hopes will vanish with a loss here. And yes, Tampa Bay is one of a few teams laying claim to worst in the NFL thus far. But the Skins laying 9 points? What? The Redskins just lost to a team that had lost 19 straight games! Prior to that, they barely beat St. Louis as a 10 point favorite. That St. Louis win came with some luck as the Rams (who have lost 13 straight by the way) fumbled the ball inside the Washington 10 yard line late in the game. So, the Skins could easily be 0-3, and they haven't surpassed 17 points scored in a game yet this season. So an ugly loss to an 0-19 team, and a come-from-behind two-point win over an 0-13 team warrants this line? Change will be blowing in the wind in Washington as Bucs’ first-year head coach Raheem Morris is going with QB Josh Johnson in this one. While a QB making his first start may scare some folks, Ben Roethlisberger, Joe Flacco, Matt Ryan and Mark Sanchez have shown that the old stigma assigned to inexperienced QBs is just that - old. While Johnson is not of the caliber of those QBs, his start does not automatically make the Bucs a no-play here. The Redskins have not been able to get it done in this spot as they are 1-7 ATS against teams with a .333 winning percentage or less and 0-5 ATS as a favorite of six or more. As mentioned, the Washington offense has been no where to be found. They have produced just 40 points on the season or 13 per game. The Redskins are on a 3-14-3 ATS run against teams with a losing record. This line indicates that the Redskins are a much, much better team. But, when are they going to show it? The Bucs are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 games following three straight losses and I'm going with them here.
