Top 9th, 2 passed balls with 2 outs. Bottom 9th, 2 walks and a wild pitch that struck out a batter.
I was like okay if he gets a hit 2 runs will score and I will not lose by a run. A walk would be gross. But what does he do a MOTHER friggin WILD-PITCH-STRIKEOUT. |

#5 Posted: 10/7/2012 1:28:00 AM Yes. If I had bet SF +3.5 in the middle of the 9th inning live for maybe $1000, I was probably getting 3 to 1 or something.
If you mean hedge the parlay, that's a big no-no for me. I don't play to not-lose and pay juice. I play to win.
I already had a 3-teamer including three of those winners so I already secured a $7500 profit. But it still hurts.

I had a 3-teamer for $1200 to win $7100 and this 5-teamer to win $5417.
About a $6200 swing with the bonus. I effectively made a 3-teamer for $7100 (guaranteed profit if first 3 win) and a 4-teamer for $232 to win about $2850 and rode that $3K or so on the fifth game.
I could have re-split my parlay more to have something in the pocket given that the 4th game wins. But then it's not gambling anymore. With $7100 profits locked in, I was whiling to ride the $3K equity on the 5th game given the opportunity arose.
What I should've done was hedge DURING the game with incredible odds and a possibility of a middle.

You see them in my 5-team parlay.
The 3-teamer that won my $7100 is the first 3 games in the parlay (ie: all football).
What's worst is that I took off Texas Over and Notre Dame Under from my 5-teamer and decided to put in the baseball unders. Figuring good pitchers for game 1, cold weather, night time, conservative mentality, etc.
Lost to a series of friggin wild pitches

I don't usually post plays. But yeah I went 13-2 on my predictions last week and 8-1 this weekend in college. Both times I cut my card short and reduced wagering amounts.
Sorry I don't post plays because I am paranoid in believing that Vegas can see my plays and rig the games against me. I'm usually on the most square degenerate side. For me placing a wager is like paying for entertainment and there is only entertainment if I see lots of touchdown (if I got the over) or lots of TD's for the team that I am about to bet on.

No baseball plays today. Had 3 NFL plays and it looks like I will go 1-2. I am not very good at NFL (National Fixed League).

posting your record after the game usually no one believes you..
posting the amount of money after the game no one really believes you...
now if your posting those things just for yourself...welcome.. but most threaders want to see plays and picks before the fact...
as far as money...not many care because there is no way to ever prove it |

yeah, i'm sure Vegas is looking for your plays so they can screw you by rigging the game.
along the same lines as docdulac said - if you don't post your plays & wager amounts before the games, then you shouldn't be bitching about near losses after the games.

Sometimes I post my plays before or right before a game. Even if people believed me it doesn't make a difference, it's not like anyone knows me personally.
If you don't believe me that's fine take it as a good story.
You might enjoy my weekly degenerate top 10.
