#1 Posted: 10/3/2012 10:31:23 PM First 2 games for the higher seed are on the road. Does anybody like this setup? I know I hate it. |

#3 Posted: 10/3/2012 10:41:40 PM If I'm not mistaken...that used to be the WNBA format. 3 game series. First game went to the lower seed and the next 2 went to the higher seed. They were even smart enough to realize that was a dumb idea and changed it this year. |

#4 Posted: 10/3/2012 10:50:18 PM MLB surely has some master minds to screw things up. Never had the idea in NFL, NBA or NHL. |

#5 Posted: 10/3/2012 10:52:42 PM Personally I don't like it but I do see the advantage in it the higher seed team only has to steal one day away and can win it at home |

#6 Posted: 10/3/2012 11:07:28 PM I think it is only for this season because they came up with this format after the schedule was made

#7 Posted: 10/3/2012 11:53:02 PM It seems stupid to me. I really don't understand how going on the road for the 1st two games is advantage to the higher seed.
Bud Seling does alot of stupid garbage sometimes.

It is. Which makes it even stupider. What's the point if you weren't going to stick with it? Glad they're not sticking with it, though. |

#9 Posted: 10/4/2012 12:18:29 AM old 2-2-1 seems like the way to go to me. why does the better team have to go on the road for the first two games? i dunno big advantage for the underdog that's for sure. |

#10 Posted: 10/4/2012 9:23:51 AM Gotta be honest.... I do think it is an advantage for the better team....
You are getting your ace on the hill on the road... which previously, the first road game would go to your #3....
You gotta beleive your team has a higher chance to get that 1 road victory w/ their ace, right? |

#11 Posted: 10/7/2012 4:10:41 PM With 0-2 record under this MLB's new genius format, i bet A's not going to appreciate Bud's master minds, Sparky. Actually, higher seed teams SHOULD enjoy their HFA in first two games not the lower seed teams by this f****g format. |

#13 Posted: 10/7/2012 5:35:41 PM Looks like the Brain Trust...(most believe its the Network TV people)...are trying to extend the playoffs as far as they can for revenue reasons...Money Talks and Bullshit Walks.........
Give the lower seed a leg up and they probably figured to get one or two more games this playoff season..means MILLIONS... |

#18 Posted: 10/7/2012 5:54:54 PM The MLB 2-3 format and NBA finals 2-3-2 format are the only two series in American sports where the lower seed has the opportunity to have more home games than the higher seed. These two formats make no sense at all to me, it seems really silly to potentially give an advantage to them if they didn't earn it in the regular season.N Needs to be fixed. |

#19 Posted: 10/7/2012 5:57:19 PM Higher seeds have first two games at home in NBA, that's big difference from the MLB format, MLB is full of crack head running it. |
