#5 Posted: 8/26/2011 1:13:37 PM How many teams were in your draft? Is it PPR? I'm assuming you snagged Forte at #2. If you're in a PPR league, I like Forte at #2. If it's not PPR, I would've grabbed Blount or McFadden if they were around. Still solid with A.D. and Forte for 1-2. Receivers look good and I like Freeman at QB. Haven't even done my first draft yet, so haven't seen a whole of other people's teams. But you seem like you have a solid team.

You're not sure This is the sort of thing you need to know well before the draft. You should be tailoring your rankings to the league format you play in, rather that's a standard league or a PPR league. |

#8 Posted: 8/26/2011 2:42:41 PM Yeah I dont believe in taking QBs in the first round, unless I'm sitting at the end of the round and Brees or Rodgers is still around. I always seem to do well loading with stud RBs/WRs, and then finding a gem of a QB in the middle rounds. Won one of my leagues last year with Flacco/Freeman as my 2 QBs. You can always get solid play with a mid-tier QB, so I'm always willing to pass up stud QBs to snag the stud RB/WRs. What round did you grab Freeman in?

#10 Posted: 8/26/2011 5:41:10 PM Positive Things: Waited for QB and were rewarded with a qulity backfield. TE has potential.
Negative Things: I'm personally not big on Miles Austin. Just my opinion thought. Outside of Mike Wallace, I'm not huge on your receiving core. Maybe look to move Addai(especially since it's not PPR) and Austin for a potential upgrade. |

#11 Posted: 8/26/2011 7:03:46 PM Great RBs.Good QB Good TE K who cares D not good. With the exception of Wallace your WRs are not good at all. I live in Dallas so I hope Austin does well but he's been gimpy all preseason and these things linger. |

#12 Posted: 8/28/2011 12:18:00 AM I don't like Freeman that much.....TB schedule is much tougher and I see his numbers dropping off. Gotta be someone on the waiver wire you can pick up. |

Like who, Tavaris Jackson? Matt Hasselback? Freemon is a much better option than what will be left over on the FA wire.
The guy had a 4:1 TD/INT ratio last year. Why can't his numbers be that good again? He is only his third season. Shouldn't progression dictate he get better or at least stay the same? |

#14 Posted: 8/28/2011 12:52:44 AM Flaaco...Orton...Cutler are still on waivers in my league. If Bradford or Kolb are still there I'd consider them too.
I drafted Freeman in my league...dropping him for Flaaco.
Nothing against Freeman at all...he is a stud!! Just feel his numbers are going to drop off significantly from last season. I know it's preseason, but he is 28/52 53% through 3 games. Not that good. |

#15 Posted: 8/28/2011 9:31:54 AM That's true. TB did benefit from an easy schedule last year and this year should be tougher. I think Freeman will be ok. I don't see that much difference between him and the rest of the 2nd tier guys to be honest. You could play matchups if you like but I think you'll be ok just starting him. |

IN that offense I look for him to put up really good numbers. I think he is very under valued right now. If they are playing good ball early I could see MOss going there |

Cutler had almost 3x's as many INT's as Freeman. I agree that Freeman's numbers will probably drop off in the TD/INT ratio because if they go up at all he will be in Tom Brady company. But he is still better than Cutler and Orton. I think he has more upside than Flacco as well.
Plus if his schedule gets tougher and T.B. falls behind more that leaves more opportunity for passes, not less. |
