Exactly what i was tryin to say, becuz the mvp makes 1 field goal in 4th an 2 FREE throws he is clutch. Its amazing.  And people that wana talk about Kobe, Lebron will b extremely lucky 1 day if he reaches kobe status. Open ur eyes dude ur talkin about 1 of all time greats with 5 rings opposed to lebron still searching for 1 ring.

Dude i'm sorry but kobes fg% in the 4th quarter is not very good... He's a bulk shooter and he takes and misses a lot of contested shots.

I am a lebron FAN. I call choke when he's choking. I was mad when he tried to hit a 3 ball to answer durant's 3.

But the 2 FT was the seal to it. LeBron is not a good FT shooter (SHAME on him) so him making those shots is awesome.

He is a good all around player but a bad FT shooter, so making those shots when it matter is clutch for us. If you dont want to name it clutch then let it be.

Why is it so important for you to make others believe what you want to believe?

It is like religion, we believe our own garbage. Dont push others on it. If you believe LeBron sucks, should have been fouled out, fouled durant etc etc.

Then believe it. What happened happened. Grow up.

When folks say Kobe status...what exactly is that?  And what does that encompass?

In my opinion...his status is

1)  5 time NBA champ (team accomplishment)

2)  2 time finals MVP (individual accomplishment)

3)  1 Regular Season MVP (individual accomplishment)

4)  2 (or is it 1) scoring title (individual accomplishment)

5)  All NBA 14 times (10 times 1st team all NBA)

6)All NBA defense 12 times (9 times on 1st team)....this is wierd...because last 2 seasons D Wade leads Kobe in rebounds...blocks and steals but popularity reasons folks keep putting Kobe on 1st team....wierd

7)  14 All Star appearances

8)   4 all star mvps

9)  Slamm dunk champ in 1997

10)   Scored 81 points in a game

11)   Won a gold medal

12)  sexual assault allegation and divorced (I know not relevant...just threw that in there )

NOW  LBJ

1)  Three time regular season MVP...finished 2nd in the voting twice

2)   Came into the league as most hyped player ever--- and folks since his 1st from prep High school to Pro game debut....25 points...9 rebounds, 6 assists and 60 % shooting .."best prep to pro debut ever"....he has LIVED UP TO THE HYPE and has gotten better and remained steady every season while in the NBA

3) January 19th of rookie season...was youngest player ever to record a triple double in NBA....also same season scored 41 pts...youngest ever to do that too......ended up averaging 20 pts...5 rebounds...5 assists in rookie season only Oscar Robertson and Jordan did that in NBA history

4)   Won Rookie of year

5)   Youngest player to ever win  All Star Game MVP....Won All Star MVP twice

6)  Eight time all NBA (6 times on all NBA 1st team)

7)  Four time all NBA 1st team.....was 2nd in voting last year and this year for defensive player of year....coaches gave him the most votes for all nba defensive team.....MEDIA gave award...GAVE award to Tyson Chandler of Knicks

8)   Gold medal with team USA in 2007 FIBA and 2008 Olympics

9)  I will not list all the performances where he is compared to Oscar Robertson...Wilt Chamberlain...etc..etc....but if you watch sportscenter or listen to sports radio...there are too many to list....more recent performances....Game 4 vs Indy pacers and playoff performances vs Boston were HISTORIC

10)   Led Cavaliers in regular season in pts, rebs, assts, steals, and blocks...this has only been done twice in a regular season (Pippen and O Robertson)

This season led Heat in everything except blocks...was 2nd on team in blocks

11)  Folks dont talk about this much...but he has already won more KIA player of week and month awards than any player in NBA history....(yes more than Kobe)....in fairness to Jordan during his time it was only player of the month....and whoever won this won it for for NBA.....during kobe's era they started giving it to east and west player or week and month....but the point is....LBJ has more than kobe and it is not even close.

12)  LBJ most controversial moment....he went on TV and announced he would take his talents to South Beach and gave millions of dollars to charity by doing "The Decision"   AND...at a Miami Heat PEP RALLEY.....a pep ralley....tell his fans we are going to get you multiple championships......little did he know...that you have to watch what you say at  a pep ralley with your fans.

i guess titles is the key

but titles is a team thing...not an individual thing

In my opinion, LBJ NBA resume and accomplishments will be on par with the greats to ever play the game

He needs the right complimentary pieces as did the other greats to get a ring

Quick question:

In NBA History.....Who is has the mythical nickname...Mr Clutch?

Hint....he is also the logo..

Answer:  is Jerry West.....guess what...Jerry West ...Mr. Clutch as great as he was and all those GREAT laker teams he played on...only won one title

My point is this.....this clutch stuff is OVERBLOWN and the team concept is undersold...Celtics had the better team and being clutch only gets you so far

Clutch is not the be all and end all to determine who is a champion....who was more clutch on those Celtics teams....hmmmm

The clutch thing is media driven to help keep the hate up on LBJ who (LBJ that is) helps them to pay their bills as he is easy to write about and hype b/c of his fans and his haters....if (when) he gets a ring...the story goes away....unless someone in the media finds a way to keep the hype tag on him....Thats what they do...and I am sure they will find a way to keep the hype on him

Just u bringing up the sexual assault allegations please dont call any 1 a hater cuz thats exactly what ur doin.  If Lebron James can win mvp with the 4th best record in league averaging only 27 8 an 6  and kobe bryant doesnt win mvp in 05 averaging 35  5 an 5 and made playoffs.. Right there the mvp lost all credibility in my eyes, steve nash won it averagin 16 an 10 LMFAO.  So by u sayin kobe only has 1 league mvp u know as do i he should have won that award from 03 to 08. and the only reason he didnt is becuz of some fuckin person lookin for money  So get off lebrons nuts seriously Kobe had shaq yes he did but kobe neva had a wade and bosh on his team.

Or in 06--07 kobe averaged 32 6 an 5.5 and guess wat no mvp. MVP voting is a joke when shaq ankobe have 1 each

He needs the right complimentary pieces as did  the other greats to get a ring

The NBA is a stars league and always has been its no coincidence that most of the championships ever won were by the all time greats, yes u need helpt but please an nba championship has more to do with the star than the role players

and another thing u bring up all lebrons historical performances and say watch sportcenter the biggest lebron slurper of all, u failed to mention all of kobes historical performances like 13 straight 40 point games 5 straight 50 point games and i can go on and on as well but of course ur doin it to benfit ur argument

2nd to jordan in 40 pt games

and its funny cuz sportscenter brings up lebron has 13 str8 25 pt games in playoffs  didnt kobe have like 15 str8 30 pt games in playoffs couple years ago en route to title

Oh yea and is alot more respected around the league than lebron

And u mite say im hatin on lebron but for u to discount what kobe has done over his career then u sir are the hater.  Iknow lebron is great no doubt, but championships are what defines athletes its just the way it is and how it will always b, so until he gets at least 4 rings or more please dont disrespect the all time greats like jordan or kobe or any other great by putting this dude in same category.  he will probably get there some day cuz he is great but lets just wait til he does to have these discussions.  Becuz if he doesnt get as many rings or comparable to the all time greats he will never b considered better even if his numbers are great

KobezKing,

You got some of what I said...but not all of what I said

To me Wilt Chamberlain was a a superstar..superstud..etc..etc..

Jerry West...was a superstar...superstud

Their careers are not (sub-par) becuase they lost to better Celtics teams in the Finals

Jerry West is considered Mr, Clutch and is the logo

Wilt...well we all know is Wilt

You and many others have seemed to buy into the media hype that helps them to pay their bills

They created the narrative...LBJ is NOT this....LBJ is NOT that...media needs someone to help them drive the interest in the sport....keep you and i debating...there is noone in sports today that helps them pay their bills more so than LBJ

And while they have not dog in this fight....trust me...they want him to lose again, again and again

But back to your point about the numbers

As you can tell I am an LBJ fan (smile)

And I do not concede that his numbers will be mute and inconsequential once all is said and done

1st of all....he will have more career points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks than kobe, michael jordan, etc..etc..(SF, and SGs...will not have superior numbers than LBJ

2nd he will challenge Kareem Addul Jabbar for the all time scoring title....media keeps talking about who is clutch...but they are not saying that LBJ came into this league putting up buckets at an age and rate that will pass Jabbar...trust me...Jabbar knows this ...Year before last Kareem did an interview and was dissappointed that the league allows 18 year olds to come straight out of H.S......he didn't say that when Garnett, Kobe, McGrady, Howard and others came into the league...they was not a threat to his all time scoring mark....LBJ is a threat...and he has his eye on him

3rd...even without a title...LBJ has gotten better every year he has been in the league.....follow me on this....he went from rookie of the year....to leading cavs in pts, rebs, assts steals and blocks...to getting cavs...THE CAVS to the Finals by himself...YES...by himself.....to regular season MVP...to two time MVP.....to being All NBA defense....being 2nd in voting for defensive player of year....to being the most efficienct basketball player in NBA....being most efficienct basketball player in NBA for at least 4 out of the top 10 nba seasons in nba history....to being a three time MVP....and now getting to the Finals in back to back years with no solid rebounder on the team (LBJ the small forward leads the heat in rebounds)

Yes, titles mean a lot....BUT...LBJ when it is all said and done....numbers will show that we were watching a modern day Hank Aaron in basketball

Don't let your love for your favorite player today (kobe, durant, etc) or your love of a player from yesteryear (MJ, Magic, etc) fool you

LBJ's numbers are special and something we have not seen before

I can't remember who said it....but what we are witnessing with this guy is   25%  JORDAN....25% Magic....25% Oscar Robertson and 25% of something we have never seen before
