Suspensions for Michigan has me re-evaluating this play. A starting corner and the punter might be a bit to much to overcome especially against an upper tier sec squad. I'll give the Gamecocks 4 additional points here and reverse my play.

1. No discernible motivational edge that I can tell for either SC or Michigan so I will not factor this into my pick
2. Only 28% consensus on Michigan from SI which makes Michigan the non public side. Hence, this says to play the Wolverines.
3. Score predictor says Mich 22 SC 21 which would make Michigan the play here as well
4. Sharp / square ML diff is also making a call for Michigan. This is 8-1 this year with the Clemson pick still pending. Play Michigan
5. Covers expert differential does not have an edge pointing to either side so no play from this.
Overall, this looks like a 2 unit play on Michigan. In bowl games, I generally pick the dog or avoid the game altogether because of the tendency for the later bowl games to be dog day afternoon games.
THis might go to a 3 unit play if steam comes in Michigan later tomorrow but for now I am going 2 units on Michigan.

wouldn’t say Michigan is a sandlot squad, but I
do agree with your call on the side especially with the Cocks getting a chance to
see in state rival take down Louisiana State last night. I think “them” boys from Richland County will be locked and loaded
today and take care of the Wolverines with relative ease in a game that will go
Over the Total.
With
