You have to be crazy to press on this game if taking Marshall. 3 games ago, despite numerous injuries, Maryland showed their desire and motivation by beating V-Tech @ V-Tech which is quite impressive given the circumstances......Marshal lost in the same scenario

This is now a value play on Maryland.......

Beside, Marshall got schooled by Rice?

Teams doing different things. Trick is to determine which teams style will prevail. If you think you figured it out the play is a cinch.

Terps season is difficult to evaluate because of all the injuries. Yet they persevered (a reflection of Edsall). I wouldn't take that for granted. Playing in Annapolis isn't that big of an adv because WV is a neighboring state and their fans will travel (about 4 hours).

SOS is the biggest factor for me in this one. MD huge adv. MD was 4-2 away while Mars just 3-4. That's revealing considering Terps played much stronger competition.

The flashier team is Mars with their high powered attack. But those teams tend to get exposed in bowls more often than not.

I like MD here.

If you look at the bowl games that has played, all better conferences has come through except Washington State, which was improbable comeback due to the coach being drunk.

Maryland by a touchdown.

You guys forgotten that the Terps started the season off good until getting there whole squad injured against FSU and now is getting healthy again. By the way beating a Va Tech squad better Conference ACC and the MAC is 0-2 in Bowl games right now for the guy who mentioned that Conference which sucks to me. That snapping turtle is going to bite that herds azz today by 3tds taking them on the ML today  GLTA

I think this line placement tells you everything you need to know in this matchup Ladies and Gentlemen…

Maryland is from a power conference, Marshall is not…  Maryland has better caliber athletes; Marshall has those athletes that wanted to go to power conference programs…  Maryland beat Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Marshall loss to Virginia Tech in Blacksburg…  Maryland finished up its season on the road with a 20 point blowout of a power conference program, Marshall finished its season with just south of a 20 point loss to a Rice squad whose only impressive win of the season came on the road against a mediocre Tulsa squad; yet Maryland is getting chalk in this matchup?

I read an earlier poster state with all the injuries is hard to gauge Maryland this year, but they have “persevered” and maintained the identity of their coach…  He was absolutely spot on as Randy Edsall is an absolute terrible game manager which is why his record has been just a tad bit north of horrible since taking the reins of that program.  That clown has run a bad program completely in the ground and if that administration hasn’t recognized he is not the guy at this point in the game and begun having private conversations with a possible replacement, they deserve to lose every game next year when they start facing stiffer competition week in and week out in the BIG 10 (with Indiana, Ohio State, Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State, Michigan State, Michigan and Rutgers on next years schedule there is a good chance they go winless in conference play).

Now with that said, I’m not a huge fan of Doc Holliday either and this type of game would normally be a five unit play for me; but since his counterpart is so incompetent, I’m doubling up.  Put me down for Marshall minus less than a field goal for a Dime please.  Thanks!

Prospect…

If you plan on posting in these forums, make sure you know what you’re talking about prior to privileging us with your thoughts…  Marshall hasn’t been in the MAC conference since Randy Moss and Chad Pennington was on the roster…  Come on man!!!

Rakeem Kato did not play well in the cold against rice.  Marshall's last 7 games have gone over and Md's last 3 have also gone over.  I like going against the trend in these situations.  If its a low scoring game, I see marshalls offense stalling out and this being a close one.  Being that the game is in Maryland and it turns out low scoring, I'll take the +3.  5 units on the Under 62.5 and 2 units on Md+3

It seems the schools from the bigger conferences are beating the schools from the smaller conferences in these bowl gamed in spite of having a poorer record. Leaning Maryland.

Marshall gets my bet today.   They been  beating bad teams by a ton which is what they are supposed to do.  CUSA isnt big time conference but neither is the ACC   Dont get fooled into thinking that ACC is anything special.

Regardless whose playing today between Marshall (C-USA) & Maryland(ACC)...

My opinion:

Offense:

-Marshall has more TD's this season in their conference w/ 36 TD's.

-Maryland has lost a few good players due to injury, but there QB is legit in the ACC and he find his go-to guys, they will come out and compete @ 2:30.

Defense:

-Maryland D isnt that great in ACC, which will allow points on the board.

-Marshall doesnt have a defense as well so more points will be on the board.

Im liking the OVER

PS: took Maryland for the 1sthalf play (-2)
