#1 Posted: 10/5/2012 4:08:56 PM Hey Board,
My book: South Carolina: -1.5 ML: -265
Georgia: 1.5 ML: +225
I don't see a lot of lines this small with ML's that big. What do you guys think about this bet: $200 (risking $220)on South Carolina -1.5 to win $200(may buy it to -1), AND $200 on Georgia ML to win $450.
If South Carolina covers, I break even. If Georgia wins, I win $450 ($230 profit). If South Carolina wins by 1 point, I lose both bets ($420).
The gambler in me wants to take that chance that a 1 point South Carolina win won't happen. Odds are pretty good that will not happen.
What do you guys think? |

I just can't see a 1 point victory by SC. I mean it's completely possible, I just like the odds of a different win margin by either team. |

#4 Posted: 10/5/2012 5:37:17 PM I'd bet Georgia ML just for the value of it. No clue why they'd give you that line, it must be a mistake.

#5 Posted: 10/5/2012 5:40:32 PM I suppose I could buy it to SC -1 and worst case scenario I lose the $200 Georgia ML bet. So technically I'm risking $200 (worst case) to win ($230) best case. |

#6 Posted: 10/5/2012 5:43:37 PM Just put it all on SC - they are going to win this by 14-21points. Georgia is extremely overrated. The books know this but the public does not. |

#7 Posted: 10/5/2012 6:59:44 PM Why I'm picking SC: Connor Shaw is the best unknown Qb in the nation. The guy can run that read option offense very good Aaron Murray has NEVER beat a ranked team. SC has a salty defense. Perhaps best defensive line in the SEC SC home field advantage. Night game, crowd will be loud and very rowdy. Full house over 81k Steve Spurrier is a better gameday coach than Mark Richt. Georgia starting a freshman opposite Jadeveon Clowney. Marcus Lattimore has gashed the Georgia defense the past two meetings. He runs harder in the 4th quarter.

#8 Posted: 10/5/2012 9:54:44 PM If those are your books lines, my advice is to bet UGA Moneyline +225 and Risk 1 unit to win 2.25 units. Next call a friend that also sports bets and see if he can place a bet on SC's true moneyline -116. Bet $500 on UGA to win $1125 and Bet $825 on SC to win $750. If UGA wins you collect $1125 - $825 = $300. If SC wins you collect $750 - $500 = $250! Hope you have another friend that can place that SC bet for you as that is the sickest free roll |

#9 Posted: 10/5/2012 10:00:36 PM All over Georgia on this one! Contrary to what somebody else posted here I think SC is the most overrated team in the top 25! Shaw has not looked all that great, and Georgia has to adjust to stopping Lattimore. He's tore the Georgia defense up, and I think they'll be able to make the necessary adjustments to contain him tomorrow.

I feel the exact opposite....Georgia is a much better and predictable team in this matchup. Good Luck with you picks but that ML looks Tasty! |

#13 Posted: 10/7/2012 10:41:54 AM I still do not understand why the media loves Aaron Murray. He really is just an average Qb. |
