Baltimore
Washington
Philly
Colts
Giants
Now to week 6....
Since we cant reuse teams I am leaning Jacksonville as an average team against a terrible Rams team.
Also on the radar: Steelers over Browns...would like to save Pittsburgh however.
What does everyone else got???? |

#4 Posted: 10/15/2009 10:36:45 AM looked at the Pats but I still have the irrational thought that Tennessee is capable of playing a winning game....my back up behind those 2 would be Green Bay off a bye against a banged up Lions team. |

#8 Posted: 10/15/2009 12:55:24 PM New england is much better used against Tampa next week, or against Carolina in week 14. The best teams to use this week IMO, would be either Greenbay, Pittsburgh, or Jacksonville. All 3 of them are at home, against poor opponents. Those 3 teams are still up in the air as far as how good they will be. I like taking these middle of the road teams at home against poor opponents. You will not find a better spot to take either of these 3 teams down the road, so you are better off doing it now.

#9 Posted: 10/15/2009 12:57:46 PM Pittsburghs only other "Lock" type of game is against Oakland at home in week 13. Personally I am going with the Jags, because looking down their schedule, there will not be a game as strong as this one for them.

#13 Posted: 10/15/2009 1:28:57 PM Jacksonville isn't a good choice, they might lose. |

#15 Posted: 10/15/2009 1:50:48 PM Any team can lose on any given sunday. The goal is to pick a team on the right week. Where the situations, motivations, and schedule all line up. I don't see a reason to pick the Pats this week when Oakland and Tampa are on the schedule later in the year.

#16 Posted: 10/15/2009 2:01:06 PM Sorry Oakland isn't on the Pats schedule, I was thinking about the Jets and Pittsburgh. But the pats do have Carolina and Tampa on their schedule, which i think the odds are stronger that they will beat those teams than the Titans. The pats will likely win anyway, so you should be fine with whoever.

#17 Posted: 10/15/2009 2:18:08 PM I'm also in a suicide pool. Teams used:
NO MIN PHILLY NYG PITT
Also using JACK this week. GB and Pats are good picks but I need to use them later in the season.
Guys - is what I am doing the right idea? I pretty much have every team picked out for every week. I started by going backwards, starting with week 17 and going all the way back to week 1. Man picking out 17 different teams for an entire season is pretty rough stuff.

#18 Posted: 10/15/2009 2:51:32 PM I am taking Pitt. I would stay far, far away from Jax, think this is the game a lot of people go down on.
I wouldn't have used PItt unitl Week 13 if I were to pass here. |

#19 Posted: 10/15/2009 2:52:42 PM Not sure why I don't Philly, I haven't used them and don't see a spot the rest of the year where I would. Just have a funny feeling about that game. |

#20 Posted: 10/15/2009 3:05:26 PM Jay - take Pitt this week (I am)
I've used Balt, Wash, Dallas, SF and Phi
Save NE for week 7 or 14
GB a fairly safe bet
Jax, no way. Not with Pitt or GB still in your pocket
Your big problem is week 7. IND @ St L is the pick but it's used up for you. That gives you a few road options
SD @ KC
NE @ TB
GB @ Cle
I guess you could also roll with NYJ @ Oak
Before picking this week, keep a open eye toward week 7. I ask you, do you want to use NE or GB this week or have them available when deciding Week 7's pick?

#21 Posted: 10/15/2009 3:07:08 PM The only other time you might be able to use Philly w/ confidence other than this week is week 15, when SF comes into town. There are a few other weeks you can use Pitt: weeks 11, 13 & 14
