#2 Posted: 12/15/2011 12:58:17 AM It's vegas.. Everything is going to be fun!
If you're looking for low limits, downtown las vegas is the place to be.
If you're looking for a book that serves free booze, the Bellagio is the spot.
Haven't been to any strip clubs out there, and I won't be going to a night club until I go back on Jan 6th, so I can't help you there. |

#7 Posted: 12/16/2011 12:03:19 AM To get around use the public bus system if you intend to stay around the strip area. $2 one way, $7 for 24hrs ($5 if you buy off the strip). The express bus is technically free, BUT you must present your active bus pass if asked, and security does get on the bus at times to check.
You can buy a 5 day pass as well at one of the locations around the area.

The BUS?? darn the Bus!!
Walk or take a cab from place to place.
If this is your 1st time out there you got to go to Cesaers Palace. Also, you should take a cab abd go to the Hilton. You will be glad you did!

#14 Posted: 1/3/2012 7:41:20 PM Depends what you wanna do & where you're staying. The bus was a good option for us.........2 in our group had never been down & wanted to see some sights, so we got a 24hr pass for $7 ( easy.......just have $7 ready, get on bus & deposit $.....tix are time stamped) & took the bus to the south end & walked back, stopping in several casinos, watched the water show @ the Bellagio, etc. Next day (tix still good from day before) we took the bus north to Fremont & walked back (bring some good walking shoes). Never waited more than 10 mins for a bus & saved over $100 in cab fares easy.
Nothing wrong with cabs if you just want to get from A to B..........but they'll try to take you off the beaten path to skip traffic. Didn't get around to taking the monorail......it starts at the Hilton & ends at the MGM I believe.

#15 Posted: 1/4/2012 11:22:05 AM lb1133,
A cab ride from the airport to say the Palms is $24. Do the math!
The bus system is the best way for people to get around and especially if they have a budget that has little room.
Glad I could amuse you.

#18 Posted: 1/8/2012 8:56:51 PM Hey Cuz,
I guess when I travel , I travel a little different than you. I guess you can say I am not the type to take a bus while on vakay let alone Vegas, where you can walk or take a cab. That's all. I have been to Vegas 5 times and never once considered taking a bus. And I am a city guy(Boston). I wouldn't take the bus here either.
Listen, have fun. I don't have to tell you to have good time b/c that is a given. Oh yeah, most important... have a safe trip.

#19 Posted: 1/9/2012 4:55:41 PM thanks lb. we will be having a good time. we are staying at the flamingo and we will probably only take the bus a couple times to get to either end of the strip and then walk back seeing as the flamingo is centrally located. just trying to find out the cheapest easiest way to do things. thanks for the insight.
