#1 Posted: 12/13/2012 11:28:22 AM Its been what 3 weeks since homestead, Im already going withdrawals without racing on sunday lol. Football mildly entertains me, but cant make money on it like i do with nascar Heres a little article with odds listed at the bottom, and the thoughts of a sportsbook manager on how he came up with the odds. "Dale Jr is 10-1 only because hes Dale Jr." lol. Would be all over Jamie at 50-1

how the hell would one make money on nascar? seems like a tough racquet to me. do you just bet a driver to win the race straight up or is there more to it than that?

There is way more than just betting on a winner. Just the last 2-3 years ive added matchups to my weekly win plays and really increased my profit. Theres also top 3,5,10 bets as well as group wagers. When u follow it as close myself and some others on here, it really feels as tho I have an advantage. Feel like Kenseth will be strong in that Toyota, such an underrated driver. Also gut feeling another down year for fords even Brad.

#8 Posted: 12/15/2012 11:29:52 AM I don't think you can think about things until we see a few more tests with the new car. As of now they are saying the Yotas have a slight advantage however there will be more tweaks before the season for sure. Kyle going to be huge this year, dough making. Kenseth is the perfect fit for that organization. Y'all know. Love Joey but Kenseth brings such leadership to that organization, I think it will be bug for KyleI as well won't get too excited until after Super Bowl but I am excited for Joeys new ride Ford will be strong this year and not saying that just because my boy is in one. Roush, who I hate BTW and Roger together, they will get it done. Edwards with Fennig are going to be a rock |

#10 Posted: 12/19/2012 2:13:38 AM Big surprise here...I believe Joey will disappoint, and once again not live up to expectations. I just don't see the elite ability, and passion from him that I see from others. If he finishes in the top 15 in points, I'll be surprised.
Abizzo...if you're interested in following how to make $ in NASCAR, keep active in this forum. I've only been in the forum 1 year, but I've bet Nascar for 4 years. I've turned a profit every year...years 1, 4 not a big profit, but years 2, 3 were very good. I've really enjoyed everyone in this forum, and unlike other forums this one has guys participating that really know their stuff. From my experience, Nascar is easier to turn a profit off of compared to all the other major sports. Books spend all their time doing research for their lines for NFL, NBA, NCAA, etc...and a lot of times you can find some very weak lines in Nascar.

#12 Posted: 12/20/2012 5:49:17 PM Found this to interesting, In the last 10 years the driver that has finished 2nd in the championship, the following year he has an average finish in the championship of a 9.6. hmm...if this rings true for 2013 then Bowyer could make a deep slide.
65 more days until Daytona! Damn this is going to be a long winter!!

#13 Posted: 12/20/2012 9:03:49 PM Gordon winning Homestead after possibly the lowest point in his career is a massive turning point for the 24 team. garbage, or get off the pot time for Wonderboy, he's getting near the end but feels like he has everything to prove. Gordon is winning the Championship and a ton of races in 2013. |

I like the sound of that stats :) Have a feeling Khane has a good year as well. Khane vs Kyle at homestead Also think Jimmy has a down year, and by down year I mean top 10 finish in points and 1 or 2 wins, most likely coming at martinsviile or dover. As another sunday passes without racing

#16 Posted: 12/24/2012 4:35:32 PM I do like Kahne as well. Think he will b oils. 24 will be good, the COT didn't fit his style. Gen 6 car will be fun to watch. Normally bridesmaid always slumps but bowyer only got it because JJ broke and held down 2nd for 50 laps lol |

oh my God Alan, didnt even say anthing about my boy, just i think the change is perfect for him and you always stick your nose in LOL. Opinions are like fool, everyone has one HA HA. We will see in time. Mark Martin isnt wrong about a lot of things so i will take his opinion and agree with it. This change will prove just what the doctored ordered. But letss all make some dough this year! |

#23 Posted: 2/21/2013 12:20:26 PM Only been following NASCAR for about 4-5 years, just started betting on it last year so please excuse my ignorance
What are some main factors to look at when handicapping a race? From what I gather here it seems to be Course, Location, Car manufacturer, Team, History of driver, etc
Other things to consider? Thank you for your help

#24 Posted: 2/22/2013 9:46:10 AM U pretty much summed it up moto. Capping the 4 plate races is way harder than the other 32 which u probably already no. Although I think a certain driver sweeps, I think the for first time in history.
