#204 Posted: 3/21/2011 10:32:34 PM Any car commercial (especially Toyota) that shows a busy showroom floor. Like you've ever walked into a dealership and it's teeming with customers everywhere. |

#211 Posted: 5/22/2011 6:15:21 PM I've come to the conclusion that the marketing executives or tv commercials are all out of touch w/ the common man's sense of humor. friggin idiots.

#214 Posted: 5/22/2011 6:50:35 PM very entertaining thread.. i was having a similar discussion the other day saying how awful 95% of commercials are these days. I'm convinced the main purpose of most commercials is just to make us remember what the commercial is for.. personally, the worse the commercial is, the more likely I remember what the product/service is for.
I agree how all the McDonalds commercials are awful, beer commercials have gone downhill. special mention to all the Lowe's commercials (with the chick saying "righty tighty, lefty loosey") , all Esurance commercials, and especially the Geico commericals (getting very tired hearing that stupid gekko lizard's accent

#216 Posted: 8/20/2011 6:54:58 PM Didn't read all of the posts so I do not know if it has been listed:
The high school basketball game where the kid admits the ball went off of him instead of the opposing team. Are you F*****G kidding me. Even if, and that's a big "IF", a player admitted that, the ref wouldn't reverse his call, especially after a TO.
To do a more realistic commercial on honesty they should have filmed it in DC. You know, maybe a congressman sending naked photos of himself via Twitter. First denying it then telling the truth. |

#217 Posted: 8/20/2011 6:56:01 PM The Farmers commercial with the "automothome"
That's the boat with wheels that has a house on it. At the end of the commercial, a helicopter blade pops out of the roof and starts up.
Where is this thing going? Up? It's inside a building! |

Have you seen this one about the high school hoop player who feels such overwhelming guilt about the ref making the wrong call "IN FAVOR" of his team, that he's friggin compelled to turn himself (and his teamates) in by confessing that on the previous play the ball was acutally touched last by him before it went out of bounds.
Talk about a blanket party waiting to explode on the bus ride home. What a joke,,, where does this end, why not just get rid of the refs and make it open gym (call your own fouls guys),,,
If you are at bat and you think the ump called a strike a ball, do you insist that it did indeed catch the inside corner and proceed back to the dugout with a guilt-free conscious and a smile on your face.
The audacity of this commercial just fn' makes me grind my teeth and clinch my fists, it's as if it was written by some pencil necked do gooders who were always last picked for teams and never ever have been involved in a competive situation. Pisses me off more than any commercial I've ever had to see.
canovsp---- I couldn't agree more,,, here's my thoughts on that POS, the more I see it the more I hate everything about it,,,, what kind of coach would let that fly, even the thought of the ref reversing the call sets me off, |
