The ONLY reason I could see to back the Lakers is that its a b2b for the Clippers. However, its a b2b at Staples center, there was no travel here. Basically, last nights game was like a practice for the clips and they won by 10 so they shouldn't be tired.

This is a Lakers team that, despite it's good fortunes of winning as of late, cannot put 4 quarters of basketball together, evidenced by the 3rd Q of the Phoenix game, at home, with Phoenix being once of the worst teams in the league.
Add to this that Dwight Howard is going to be prone to foul trouble against a highly active front court, and that the basket will be largely
unprotected when he is not playing.
It is a sign worth recognizing that the Clippers played sloppily in the 2nd half of their first game back at home versus Houston, but I don't believe for a minute that a Chris Paul/Chauncey Billups led squad will do this again against a team they would prefer to bury and keep from even making the playoffs. Plus they have large incentive to keep pace with OKC, who they would much prefer to have home court advantage with when they meet in the playoffs.
After much reading/research and deliberation, particularly noticing that many of the top handicappers have the underdog Lakers, I'm sticking with the Clips -3.5
