#2 Posted: 11/11/2011 12:19:09 AM I love love love S. Carolina in this spot.
Here's why:
1. Florida is a mediocre team at best. They've shown intermittent flashes of good play this season, but on the whole they run from inconsistent to bad.
2. South Carolina hates Florida and wants to destroy them at any opportunity. They don't get many chances to be a legitimately better team than Florida, so if they get a chance to pound them, they certainly will.
3. Florida is tired. They started the season at 4-0 and then promptly lost four in a row. And those four were to very good, very physical teams---Georgia, LSU, Alabama, and Auburn. Last week, they just barely snuck past (a better-than-usual) Vandy team. They're wheezing, their hands are on their knees, they're sucking wind. And now they have to crawl into S. Carolina and try to stay competitive.
4. South Carolina is a more balanced team. I expect this to be low-scoring, but if S. Carolina finds themselves with a 10-14 point lead in the second half, Florida isn't built to come storming back.
Florida -3

#4 Posted: 11/11/2011 1:08:18 AM I'm a dunce. I meant, of course, S. Carolina -3.
Let me put that in big bold letters so it's clear this time:
SOUTH CAROLINA -3

#5 Posted: 11/11/2011 12:22:10 PM I was actually not even planning on touching this game but the total caught my attention...it's not like these 2 teams can't put numbers up on the board...I might just play the over in this one. |

#8 Posted: 11/11/2011 2:50:17 PM I am thinking of teasering Florida +10, but I really think they have a good shot to win this game straight up |

#9 Posted: 11/11/2011 2:52:12 PM Plus, if South Carolina's QB gets hurt they don't have anyone to really back him up and he got hurt last week and was questionable for this game. If Florida hits him hard and he is out, Florida could win this one going away... |

#11 Posted: 11/12/2011 12:52:12 AM Is Shaw even playing in this game? He is still listed as questionable. |

#15 Posted: 11/12/2011 11:24:33 AM South Carolina barely won a game at Tennessee and was exposed last week at Arkansas. Florida's speed will win this game and make them cover easily in this one.
