I won a game recently that I'm firmly convinced was fixed.
About a month ago, Lyon (France) was playing Zagreb (Croatia) in Champions League soccer. Because of tie-breaker rules, Lyon needed to beat Zagreb by 5-6 goals or so in order to advance, and have Ajax (Holland) lose to Real Madrid (Spain). I had Lyon.
The game was tied 1-1 @ halftime. 2H begins, Lyon starts scoring goals in bunches. It's suddenly 4-1 in 15 minutes. That's bizarre enough b/c Lyon is a defensive-oriented team that hardly scores. What's weird is that Zagreb doesn't even seem upset that they're being embarrassed at home. There's video footage where a Zagreb defender smiles and winks at a Lyon forward after a Lyon goal. If you watch their goalie, you'll see he hardly tries at times. Lyon wins 7-1.
It's clear Zagreb agreed to tank their match @ halftime.
Now, that my friends, is a fix.
