#1 Posted: 12/28/2010 5:59:43 PM i just want to be the first to congraulate you on winning this race. a great job for all three months. i'm just not sure how i managed to go 2 and 14 during those couple of cold streaks you had recently. but i'm with you from here to the end. my bankroll is fresh, and i'm deciding among the sports cars. |

#3 Posted: 12/29/2010 4:45:09 PM holy cow, georgie girl, i loved your oakland pick +27-and-a-half, so i called my book and doubled-up on that one...that made it four units, since i was already doubling up with boston minus 5-and-a-half, and missouri minus 2-and-a-half. i thought i was doing great, so when you posted your hockey play, i called that in, and that's when i found out that i was on the wrong side of the number. i said, moreless, 'what are you talking about? oakland is a junior college in california...they should be GETTING 27 1/2 points, not giving them...that's not what i meant (oakland MINUS 27 1/2 points), can i change it?'
he laughed and somehow we were disconnected. so anyway, oakland was doing very well, and i thought they would probably cover anyway, so i figured since the phoenix pick in the nhl was a favorite, that they would win, so i also doubled up on that game, and i had to give odds on that play. i couldn't believe it when i found out that cemetary scored in the last two seconds to steal my money for the second time. then phoenix lost. so i lost more than ten additional units last night. but i couldn't decide whether to double up again since you are due, or to re-double (four times). so i think i will just triple-up since i am not sure. washington minus 2 1/2, and the new york rangers minus 123. unfortunately i had a family crisis to deal with earlier today, so i missed out on your first two picks that look pretty good. |

#9 Posted: 1/2/2011 11:35:14 AM General, thanks for the moral support. I think it may have helped. PDV was right. It wasn't that I loved Furman. It was more that Northeastern is really bad. I felt fairly confident but had I lost I would have taken Tampa Bay in hockey and they won big. Sorry about yor lunch ZRO but Larry did win$100. Maybe enough for a continental breakfast in New York. Thanks Mac. Appreciate it. Happy New Year to all. See you at the next race. |

#14 Posted: 1/6/2011 8:18:08 PM Thanks Jmilrod. Love the pose!! Hjsportsed, thanks I think I am with you and will take the cash. Like that there won't be any temptation to lose it all. Thanks Bjs. It does get fairly cold here in Canada during the winter. Thanks Bluelion. Truly appreciate all the well wishes and the support. It was a lot of fun but it did get a bit scary at the end. |
