No chance......No way the books let this number get any higher then 4. The Niners have had a great year and yes there D is very good but they play garbage team after garbage team. Brees will be under pressure all day no doubt but short dump off's to Sproles and quick slants to Colston will kill the niners all game long. Expect Grahm to take SF LB's away from focusing so much on the run which will help the Saints running game. I love the Saints and will put my money on Brees all day over A. Smith. Good luck which ever way you go!

If you don't think that the niners are weak against the pass please look at what good qbs did against them before replying. (And no, Skelton and Tarvaris Jackson don't count).
Teams could not run against the 49ers Defense, so they had to throw and that lead to turnovers with 5 players going to the Pro Bowl plus 1 possible defensive rookie of the Year DE Smith.
Defense Ave PPG
49ers = 14.3
Saints = 21.2 |

During Saints 9 game winning streak, avg. drops to 19.8. That includes some 3rd and 4th string D playing in garbage time. Something the 49ers hardly ever get to experience. |

#85 Posted: 1/14/2012 1:15:24 AM think this game comes down to the 4th quarter. drew brees vs alex smith. home field & defense even the odds. There's just no way i fade brees in a playoff game, unless i got tebow. |

#87 Posted: 1/14/2012 1:33:02 PM Everyone I trust is on SF. I want to like SF. Normally it's the kind of side I would bet. But I just can't do it. Saints offense cannot be stopped right now and the moment is too big for SF offense. Waiting for Saints -3. 31-20 Saints.

Yes, pal we WENT ahead and made that bet and cashed-forward thinking-bet on the future and current, not just the past-Saints turning the ball over early set-up the whole cover-on the road |

But you have to have a defense to stop the other team and the Saints have proven on the road they can make any team look good-Bucs, Rams, so the edge goes to the dog with the points at home.... |
