Ok guys take your time here and list a few guys that you think will have  a noticeably worse year than they are used to.

Give this forum some serious fade material!!

I will start out with Toms,  Leonard,  Allenby and Mickelson.

I have zero data that will backup any of this statement other than old-bored , peaked midpoint last year-old, personal problems-alchoholic and finally too many distractions+family/health issues.

Here is your chance Nostradamus, predict away....

I will leave it to someone else to start a thread on breakout players for 2012 as I am a half glass empty kind of guy.

Toms is definitely one of note, but that might be a bail out since he over performed greatly in 2011.  Marino might be another that wont be able to quite rebound quickly from this injury.  Vegas, has major inconsistency issues, if he has a good round he is excellent fade material. I might sound crazy but Woodland might take a step back with his coaching changes, I dont care who the coach is I rarely like the 1st season with a new coach

As for guys moving up the PGA, I like Levin to continue to make strides, OHair seems to getting his game back, Garrigus- the guy lost a ton of weight, Potter Jr might be a rising star

Ahhh, trying to find out who the Mike Weir circa 2011 is going to be in 2012 .....

I think the real question here is "who will the books be matching up against much tougher competition than they should be?"  Looking at it that way, my thoughts are:

Leonard:  I think the books have already caught up to him, he seems to get about the right level of matchups

Mickelson:  I couldn't agree more, his reputation is gonna keep him in much stronger matchups than he should be long before he decides to hang it up.  He may have the occasional great week like he did in Houston last year, but my best guess is that fading him for a while will be profitable.

Allenby:  If the president's cup was any indication, he may be the next one we see experiment with the long putter - he was god-aweful on the greens.

Els:  Another one who really struggles with the putter.  I'm hoping he has a good early year close to home before coming to the States and continuing to get paired to heavily.

Furyk:  At some point, the game, the courses, the equipment are gonna pass that funky swing by.  Last year certainly indicated that time is quickly approaching if not already here

Woodland:  The hype he's getting so far this year reminds me so much of Fowler last year, and for months Fowler was getting matched up against guys like DJ, Haas, Kuchar, and even McIlroy.  Having said that, this week and the Phoenix tourney are probably two places I'd be looking to play on him

Cauley:  I wouldn't be surprised to see, to a lesser extent, that he starts getting the same kind of attn that Woodland is getting

Jason Day is another one I'm gonna keep an eye on early.  He was very underwhelming in the President's Cup, looking really out of sorts at times.  If he does have a bit of a slump though, I don't think he'll be an auto-fade for long, he's just too good.  I'd keep an eye out for any sign of positivity, because he's usually a pretty strong play "on".

Stuart Appleby:  is definitely another auto-fade.  I was surprised to see him in any matchups and had to pay a hefty -140 to fade him with Danny Lee, but I'd probably take just about anybody against him.

Bet on Stricker to finish in the Top 10 in every event

Mickelson will not win more than 1 event...and even that might be a push

Tiger Woods will win 3 events, finish in the top 5 in every major, but won't win one.

Bill Haas will win a major

Rickie Fowler will win the Masters

I like most that have been mentioned.

What do you think the odds would be on Fowler winning a tournament this year?  -350     Major +10000?

a couple more observations and opinions... Id would really like to see Kim make a few strides back, it has been difficult to see him struggle.  Bud Cauley, has had a great start and thats coming off a great 2011 finish.  This kid is definitely someone to watch with a ton of potential.

Tiger will win 3 of 4 majors, the Fed Ex Cup, Money title, Player of the Year, 8 tournaments overall. McIlroy will win the 1 major Tiger doesn't but Tiger will be close.

I wouldn't give Tiger 3 majors simply because of where they are being played this year.

Go back and look at his scorecards in the cup.  He didn't exactly light it up.  Watney carried him in Sat. fourballs and in the singles he beat Ernie Els - so f'n what?  Els couldn't putt it into a 5-gallon bucket.

DON'T NEED TO LOOK AT SCORECARDS, I WATCHED EVERY SHOT OF THE EVNT.  NOT QUITE SURE WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!  NOT ONLY THE STEADIEST PLAYER ALL WEEK, BUT ALSO MADE MORE CLUTCH PUTTS THAN ANYONE,  INCLUDING IN HIS MATCH PLAYING ALONGSIDE SWATNEY.

AND ON SUNDAY HE DID NOT BEAT ELS, HE DESTROYED HIM. HE WOULD HAVE BEATEN ANY INT PLAYER HE FACED

LET ME KNOW HOW YOUR FURYK FADE WORKS OUT FOR YOU

I'm certainly not saying I'd fade him against just anybody, but I will be keeping an eye out as to who he's getting matched up against.  If it's the upper echelon guys like it's always been in the past, then yup, I'll be fading him.

We're 3 rounds in to Tigers season and you already look stupid. Going to be a long year for you and the rest of the Monogamy crew.

Good start. I would like to make the #10 tournament wins.
