BOTTOM LINE: Yes, Peavy will not do as well against teams that can hit.
In case you haven't followed baseball for long, you may want to check out things like TEAM BATTING AVERAGE and TEAM RUN PRODUCTION. They're in these silly little categories called STATISTICS, and can be found using a web site called GOOGLE.
To save you time (as you're prone to get lost in sites dedicated to ASSHATS AND DOILIES), I've provided the team stats for you:
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/stats/byteam?cat=Overall&cut_type=0&conference=MLB&year=season_2012&sort=722
You'll see that Oakland has a team batting average of .210, and has only scored more runs than that perennial powerhouse, the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Peavy gave up a number of long fly ball outs that would be homers if he was facing a team with major league hitters, as opposed to the AAA (aka MINOR LEAGUE) hitters that the Oakland A's have.
Of course, you knew that. Right?

#178 Posted: 4/24/2012 3:20:02 AM This is the best handicap puck u as ever had that I have seen, I ended up taking the white sox because of this write up. Puck you should try to handicap like this going forward, it seems you bet every game and a lot of those bets are not as well thought out as this one, thanks and keep up the good work, your pal Frank T |
