I didn't call on the Bobcats to cover.  I didn't call on the Heat to cover either.  Read my words carefully again.

BradyWearsUGGZ, here's what I posted yesterday in pucku27's thread.  It was the only thread in which I mentioned the Heat-Bobcats game:

Last year, the Heat opened the season on Christmas Day with a 105-94 win in Dallas. After a day off, they faced the Celtics in their home opener. Like yesterday's game against the Thunder, it was a highly-charged playoff rematch. The Heat won it, 115-107. Also like yesterday, the Heat had to board a plane afterwards for an unwanted trip to beautiful downtown Charlotte, North Carolina. And like today, the Heat were installed as 10.5-point favorites in a game they weren't too interested in to begin with. That night, the Heat came out flatter than Taylor Swift, falling behind 32-20 after one and 60-45 at the half. Forced to get serious, the Heatles held the toothless 'Cats to ten 3rd quarter points, and eventually escaped the Time Warner Cable Arena with a 96-95 win after D Wade sank a shot with 2.9 seconds left.

So we have a freakishly similar situation a year later. The question is, will anyone on the Heat coaching staff recall this near-embarrassment and remind the team why they can't afford to sleepwalk through the first half of this game?

Did that really sound to you like I was calling on the Bobcats to cover??

RONDO will make PAUL work on defensive end... I like Celtics and the UNDER... Not as much running in second half as there will be in the first half!! Good Luck!!

BradyWearsUGGS, it's the similarity of the situation that made it a "no-play" yesterday.  The Heat were well aware of what could happen to them if they began the game in Charlotte sluggishly because it already happened to them recently.

From the ESPN.com recap:

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said before the game his team respected the Bobcats. However, Spoelstra hinted he was a little worried about the energy Miami expended in a win over Oklahoma city and whether they would be able to get up for the struggling Bobcats.

Spoelstra talked to his players before the game, and his words seemed to work.
