#1 Posted: 4/18/2012 12:55:46 AM and now, the man himself, will be up against the fight of his life, as he has been diagnosed with prostate cancer
link
quite ironic that this evil anti-capitalist that has strangely become the leftist darling of late, would fall ill with prostate cancer, seeing as how the guy has made his living off of behind friggin people and enjoying political privilege to a degree that most cannot fathom. And we all know that the 1% that enjoy their political privileges, get their gains from anally raping the taxpayer.
good luck fighting that prostate comeuppance, warren

Capitalists procure capital from labor and put it to work for them, taking risks with investments

covers knows the irony
He has the money for good treatment and prostate cancer is one that has good rates for successful treatments so he will be back at it again eventually... same as rush

#9 Posted: 4/18/2012 10:10:38 AM The case for the Buffett tax keeps eroding. When President Obama announced the idea, he said it would help "stabilize our debt and deficits over the next decade." Then came the inconvenient revelation that the new 30% millionaire's tax would raise only $46.7 billion over 10 years. ...
Now we learn that the Buffett tax the Senate is expected to vote on early next week will make the deficit worse. That's because both Mr. Obama and Senate Democrats have made it clear that their new "fairness" tax is to offset the revenue loss from another provision related to the Alternative Minimum Tax. That measure would exempt more than 20 million middle class Americans with incomes as low as $80,000 a year from getting nailed by the AMT....
The Joint Tax Committee—the official scoring referee on tax bills—calculates that the combination of AMT repeal for the middle class and the Buffett tax would add $793.3 billion to the debt over the next decade.

I don't keep track of all his maniacal midsdeeds, the only reason i am so familiar with WFC, is because i kept my eye on the ball going into post house price peak in 06, as to what would happen with the over 100B in funny money worth of Cali bunk mortgages that originated with Golden West,,,,they were swallowed by Wachovia, who was eaten by the bigger more privileged fish, Wells Fargo
The the shady backroom deals where Buffet was consulted and then gifted sweetheart deals at the expense of the taxpayer
I'd LOVE to hear Depecho or someone like minded, explain to me how Buffet isn't the model of everything that is wrong with Capitalism, and how he profits from anti-capitalistic measures,,,,,guessing that discussion won't happen though

#13 Posted: 4/20/2012 8:28:28 AM Although Buffet benefits from bank bailouts, he broke no law. If there is blame, government is most deserving.. But if not for bailouts, there would be severe consequences for the economy.
Clearly, Buffet is a capitalist by broad dictionary definitions because he is a wealthy person and owner of capital especially business enterprises. Politically, his support for higher taxes makes him appear anti-capitalist. |
