It's going to be my first weekend out there. Last time we went Monday - Thursday. Leaving from Pittsburgh, airfare through SouthWest Airlines is $99 each way for a direct flight. Comes out to $220 after taxes and fees. 3 nights at the Flamingo total comes to $117 after taxes and fees. That's like $35 a night! If you're willing to stay at Imperial Palace, it's even cheaper. (Somewhere around $95 for 3 nights before taxes and fees) This rate is with the Total Rewards card that anybody can sign up for online for free right now. For 4 people to go and split the cost, it's $250 per person. I've never seen a deal this sweet especially on a weekend! My theory is that statistically this weekend it's less crowded so they offer such a cheap rate with the hotel and the airline to attract more people. I may be complete wrong though. Does anyone know whats up with such a great weekend deal? Kind of weird. It doesn't really matter to me either way though. It could be a ghost town when we get there and I know I'll still have a ball. It is VEGAS after all!

Prospect Joined: Aug 2007 Posts: 150 Location: Iowa	#2 Posted: 12/14/2011 3:01:34 PM As far as prices go, it's cheaper for a few reasons: -it's after Christmas, and near enough to the holiday that most people's funds are slightly depleted and less trips are taken -people with big money are there for New Year's Eve, especially with that surrounding a weekend this year -down week/weekend as far as conventions and things -huge weekend ahead with the Super Bowl coming up, many people choose to go then. Those are solid rates. My old gf was a travel agent so she followed these types of things and always filled me in. Nice price for a cross-country, weekend-surrounding flight. I've stayed at the Flamingo, Harrahs, and the IP. While none are that nice, they're adequate to sleep in, and fairly centrally located, which is great. Might be worth the $20 trick to see if you can get into a "Go" room at the Flamingo. Nicer beds, tv, tv in the bathroom, better shower, etc.

Its funny but I use to hookup with a $99 direct flight out of Buffalo, we would touchdown in Pittsburgh for 15minutes take on some more passangers and fly straight to LV. If you're looking for the cheap,IP and Flamingo not much difference, and you're right there.GL

Prospect Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 434 Location:	#6 Posted: 12/16/2011 2:17:10 PM she 7154.last 2 years went opening nfl week.when you get sat the flamingo it use to be in my flight ,hotel package not anymore. for $40 you got 24 hours when you first use to go to all harrarh properties.example flamingo breakfast 7am,ceasers lunch 2pm,baileys dinner 8pm,breakfast 7am flamingo.that comes out to $8 buffet. sign up when you check in . i could only do 3,my friend did 4. good luck tease asu +21^ the over.my free pick 7 point teaser.p.s flamingo dont take teasers.ip & cesars does though
