#2 Posted: 12/14/2011 3:01:34 PM As far as prices go, it's cheaper for a few reasons:
-it's after Christmas, and near enough to the holiday that most people's funds are slightly depleted and less trips are taken
-people with big money are there for New Year's Eve, especially with that surrounding a weekend this year
-down week/weekend as far as conventions and things
-huge weekend ahead with the Super Bowl coming up, many people choose to go then.
Those are solid rates. My old gf was a travel agent so she followed these types of things and always filled me in. Nice price for a cross-country, weekend-surrounding flight. I've stayed at the Flamingo, Harrahs, and the IP. While none are that nice, they're adequate to sleep in, and fairly centrally located, which is great. Might be worth the $20 trick to see if you can get into a "Go" room at the Flamingo. Nicer beds, tv, tv in the bathroom, better shower, etc. |
