#1 Posted: 9/14/2012 4:15:52 PM It's DISGUSTING that college football has poached Syracuse, Pitt, West Virginia and Notre Dame from this dynasty of a hoops league. Especially Cuse and Pitt. It's terrible. LVille will be gone within 2 or 3 yrs - probably to the Big 12
Predict the Big East basketball conference in 4 yrs, I'll have a stab at it:
Georgetown Villanova Marquette St. John's Seton Hall Providence Xavier Dayton Butler UConn Rutgers Temple Memphis USF
The bottom 5 schools also play D-I football so it's possible they could break away and join some other league but not sure what better option will be out there? At the moment there doesnt appear to be a better option. On it's face, the above league is still a tremendous bball league with programs like Nova, GTown, UConn, Marq, Xavier, Temple, Memphis, StJohns with storied programs and other solid programs. The problem is the league has brought in UCF, SMU and Houston for hoops and not ONE of them fits. I dont think SMU or Houston are going to be long for this league. At least I hope not. Why do you think the conference will look like in 4 yrs? |
