Also Montana is a Giant of a program in FCS but, the fact that they are only a slight favorite and are actually a lower seed. On top of the fact that the far better QB is on the other side I lean heavily to NI +4 and the Over 43.5. BOL to everyone on all sides.
as far as that...i can tell you 3 or 4 years ago on this very day (or same situation playoffs wise on espn) they opened as a 2 or 3 point fave...it went all the way up to 7! and they still covered.... gl |

btw 123445678 you keep talking about the iowa state game but seem to ignore the 900 yards they have given up the last 2 games? any reason? also your stud qb was only on the field for 17 minutes a couple games ago..gl if that happens tonight
Thanks, Bads. I've all but stopped posting here, as it's gotten a little ridiculous. Ok, a lot ridiculous. Not too many of the old crowd around any more.
GL in the bowls, and such.
Montana up 18 at the half. Game has been closer than that, but not a whole lot. Pretty good football. |

It's a novel concept the FCS has embraced, and Friday the action picks back up with the first matchup in a weekend with plenty of action. Montana advanced to the quarterfinals with a convincing win over Central Arkansas. The Grizzlies are the No. 4 seed in the FCS playoffs bracket. UNI, seeded fifth in the tournament, beat Wofford last weekend to setup the matchup with the Grizzlies this week. The Northern Iowa Panthers are the higher-ranked team in Friday's FCS playoff quarterfinal against the Montana Grizzlies, but as the 5-seed they are apparent underdogs. Recent history would suggest that they should be, with the Panthers having gone 1-3 in their last four quarterfinal games on the road, and 0-4 all-time against the Grizzlies. 1.) NIU lost at Iowa St. 20-19 2.) Rennie had 181 pass, 1 TD and 127 rushing vs Iowa St. 3.) Rennie has averaged over 5 yard per rush this season 4.) Rennie is a finalist for the FCS Walter Payton Award 5.) He led all FCS QB's in rushing yards 1,291 and TD's 15 6.)
