Dude you have not been watching UFC that long I can tell.
Jones vs Silva is the biggest fight ever. They are the only two guys I can honestly say have a chance to defeat one another.

#29 Posted: 8/31/2011 11:00:31 PM By the way if A.Silva vs J.Jones were to happen. Silva would win if it's stand up fight. If Jones takes him down I think he will dominate on the ground on top position.
I dunno who would win the fight .... would pay $$$ to see this fight. First though should be Silva vs GSP if GSP steps up, but he won't he will make excuses to avoid the fight.... |

I don't think he's overrated at all, he's a highly talented and dynamic fighter. I don't think he's unbeatable by any stretch though, especially in that weight class. I wouldn't be surprised if he lost to any one of those 3 guys you listed, none are chopped liver and all 3 have different styles. Maybe one of the styles Jones will have problems with.
I guess my only concern with Jones is I am still curious how tough he is mentally. I think we will find out soon enough when someone gets him in a little trouble and we see how he reacts. I'm not sold that he's tough mentally, not sure why, he just has that feel to him. He's had things pretty much go his way every fight in the UFC and it's easy to fight well when that is going for you. |

Yes, if they are both untouchable in their division.
I can't see Jon Jones losing anytime soon, it is scary to think that he is still learning and improving.

#35 Posted: 9/24/2011 11:42:19 PM Trust me, Silva CANT BEAT JONES. A good big man beats a good smaller man. He's too big for Silva. And too strong.

#36 Posted: 9/24/2011 11:44:46 PM c;mon, forrest is a big light heavy weight and silva looked the same size and destroyed him. silva walks around at 220.
amazingly enough, stephen bonnar gave jones his toughest fight thus far.

Where are you Pulla?
Jones just dismantled Rampage, "the best Rampage ever" as they put it last night. Jones still overrated?
Explain how Rashad is going to deal with that length and distance Jones is able to keep while tagging his opponent with kicks and strikes to the body and head.
1 down 2 to go I guess |

#45 Posted: 2/1/2012 1:12:12 AM Almost no chance they fight now. I'd say 99% no... Silva is what now, 36/37? He has already talked about retiring.. Plus Dana won't let silva move up in weight until he fights chael and/or hendo. Jon isn't going to go to middleweight, plus Jon jones said he is thinking about going to heavyweight later on.. |

they would obviously fight at 205 because no way JJ can make 185. That being said I don't see Anderson Silva ever fighitng JJ. There's not really a reason to if he can still make 185.
If they do fight. JJ would be too big and strong and just take AS down and stop him.
The only guys that I feel that can give JJ a challenge at 205 is maybe Evans (probably the longest shot but he trained with him), Gustaffson (he has the length and striking but wrestling needs more work), Muhammed Lawal (his MMA wrestling is very good and is comfortable on his feet but just got caught using steroids, and the dark horse is Daniel Cormier if he could somehow make 205. Cormier has talked about going to 205 to avoid fighting his buddy Cain.
