#76 Posted: 8/8/2012 8:54:38 AM All the other favorites are favored by 10+ points or more; if you can call one of those upsets, youd be the "man"!!!Everybody likes to bet the favorite and the over, and vegas KNOWS that!! |

#77 Posted: 8/8/2012 5:29:04 PM Bookie, GREAT info on how terrible Wyo's run defense is lol. I didn't relize they gave up 5.1 yards per carry. I think I may have to take a serious look into Texas now. One of my top plays week 1 was Oklahoma but they just recently lost their center and guard, both starters. I cant back them now because of that. Might have to replace them with Texas. GL this year and everybody else as well |

#78 Posted: 8/8/2012 7:11:26 PM guys - the key to texas is the passing game...our D will be as good as anyone...we have 3 studs in our backfiend, if they can avoid injury between now and sep 1, then that is good...
honestly, i don't know if i trust my longhorns to cover....of course they will win...in addition, when i starting believing in my horns and betting on them, they **** me over...
I have heard that Ash has not really distinguished himself from mccooy in camp...honestly, all we really need is a mccaron type situation to manage the game. both mccoy and ash were 3 star recruits and neither will ever play in the nfl...we don't necessarily need that, but after 2 years 2010 and 2011 that texas has faced, i am not sure i can give a "well coached" yet marginally talented wyoming team 29+ points in week 1... |

#80 Posted: 8/9/2012 9:39:09 PM A better Wyoming team.....(many of you liked them here too)....got punished by TEMPLE at a neutral site *score was 37-7 with 3 seconds left.....Temple let em score as time ran out
We have seen the Cowboys play tough as a dog...but when they step up in class...they often get abused

estes, lou, shakey - BOL fellas
longhorn - agree mccarron would be a huge upgrade there, it's surprising the Horns, FSU, FL, ND, MiaFL, etc can go so many years without a QB
capper - give Kentucky a shot to win straight up if Maxwell is improved...of the ones you list Auburn and Ga Tech both should have good shots to win....some might even consider Aub the better team with Watkins out and GT looking for revenge and Johnson good dog...Boise has maybe 25% shot, probably about the same as the ML....don't give Mich much shot to win SU....they're fast enough to contain shoelace and he can't throw well enough to beat them |

#90 Posted: 8/20/2012 2:46:20 AM Dude, you have righteous reasoning and I LOVE your plays. I'm with you laying big chalk on top shelf programs going against mediocre nonconference opponents.
BOL this season.
I can see I'll be checking into your threads on a consistent basis!

They are only carrying 69 players and YET AGAIN roster management will play into conservative play calling thus non-production. They will win some games but the hype is very much unfounded.
Play UGA to the UNDER and TERRIBLE ATS.
I agree. Unless Georgia dumps Richt this team will never realize it's vast and unlimited potential. If I was the AD, I would have fired him before he made it to locker room after that Outback Bowl debacle!!!
I think the Dawgs lose to Mizzou stright up in week 2.

#96 Posted: 8/25/2012 9:41:35 AM what's happening fellas, appreciate it
skip, prophet - same here, best of luck again this year
fsu - already looking forward to those sun night openers for week 2 , BOL this year fsu
orange - hey orangeman, looking forward to next week buddy
freak - yeah still feeling it from UGA blowing that 16-0 lead on MSU ...not to mention some poor play calling in OTs as I remember it...and year before against UCF set them back years ....looking forward to your picks and discussion again this year, BOL man
adding
So Carolina-Vandy under 46 (0.75u)
So Carolina 23 Vandy 13 - low scoring series with 18-7 avg since '09....SC will probably try to get the running game going and control game...even though Dores offense is tougher with Rodgers at QB, with Taylor and Clowney running around probably not able to get to thin SC secondary.....Vandy defense is usually pretty solid
checking out a couple totals and write-in games next week ....5 more days to go

Let's see if I can recall Richt's brilliant overtime strategy against Michigan State. With Georgia needing only a field goal to win in overtime, Richt proceeded to do the following:
Starting in the middle of the field at the Michigan 25 yard line, they ran left for 3 yards.
On second down and 7, Richt has his QB take a knee in the middle of the field at the 25 yard line (right back where they started).
Then on 3rd down Richt elects to attempt a long 42-yard FG, and predictably, the kicker misses the field goal.
As I witnessed this bewildering act of stupidity unfold before my eyes, I knew as soon as the field goal team stepped on the field that the kicker would miss the kick.
Now seriously, if I was the Georgia AD I would have handed Richt his walking papers before he made it back to the locker room. I then would have informed the team that Richt had been fired for stupidity.
