You research certain systems, trends or whatever....come to the conclusion that what you find hits 60-70% over a long period. So you think you found something solid and when you actually make wagers on this system IT TAKES A garbage!!!!!!

Just found this one system....researched back 2 months. Looked great...made the first plays today on them and I'm 0-4 so far!!! WTF!!!!!!

I'm right there with you.  I believe it happens to most of us.  I think the only great systems are the ones that are best kept secret.    I feel I have found and tweeked a system myself and on paper I have done well the last few weeks.  I have an account elsewhere where I bet points only and have done fairly well for the most part.  I don't have any money in a account right now or I'd be betting money right now on MLB.  I can't wait to put money on this system come next MLB season.

I know what you mean, WINNERZZZ.  I've had quite a few of those in the past, and I'm going through a losing streak right now where it seems that if I bet $1000 at plus odds that the world won't end tomorrow, I'd probably lose(don't worry, folks...I won't make the bet).   But here's the thing.  Even betting on an event that wins 6 out of 10 times over millions of trials, you will get a wide distribution of wins vs losses, and losing streaks are inevitable.  The important thing is to try to verify if it really is an event that has a 60% win rate, and how solid is that rate...is it based on 10 games, or 500?  1 year or 10?  You get my drift.

Actually, happened to me too. I usually quit the system if $$$ seems to not flow in the black early. Most systems require a lotta balls.

Maybe THAT's my problem.  I've only got 2!  How many do you need, bettor2win?

this past baseball season I followed a good bankroll management and have done pretty good. I'm not a high roller but usually for me the garbage hits the fan when I start increasing my bets. Never fails.. as soon I think I'm on that roll and start betting big the plays start losing.

hahaha so true, I can't count how many ideas and systems I have came up with and they test out like the friggin holy grail.  Then I paper test for a while and it just can't lose!

Then when I decide to finally use it and get down some money It loses.  I gave up on systems a long time ago, but still like to see whats brewing out there.
