#1 Posted: 6/22/2012 5:27:13 AM The opposition he faced to win his Championship in the inexperienced and careless Oklahoma City Thunder.
Look at player like Karl Malone (and others) who never won a Championship. Look at the era Malone played in and the team you had to beat to be World Champions.
Lebron James has a championship ring just because he is playing in the ideal era for the player that he is.
I bet poor old Karl and Jazz wish they had a team like Thunder to beat for their tainted World Championship. Those friggin days were the best because ONLY the best made the NBA Finals and when you did make you were in a war.
If the young and stupid Oklahoma City Thunder wasn't a gift wrapped present for the King than I don't know what is.

#3 Posted: 6/22/2012 5:57:06 AM Lmao, Miami Heat went into this series as clear UNDERDOG. Many other champions with rings were favored in the final series all the time.

Underdogs tag is a luxury. Its easy to play.
Heat knew they were better than the Sandlot Kids. Perfect for them.

I wanted to see a 7 game series with 2 Goliath organizations in battle and a Hollywood script.
I got Harden and Westbrook unceremoniously handing a World Championship to an fool who doesn't deserve it.

Why on earth are you using Lebron's James int he same sentence as the game's immortals.
Other players who have won multiple rings....Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant and yes Dwayne Wade !!!!!
Dwayne Wade didn't have to jump ship to win a World Championship.

#12 Posted: 6/22/2012 2:34:00 PM OKC would destroy the Jazz of Malone and co.
The athleticism between both teams would be too overwhelming...
We always like to think of the past as better than present(this happens in all fields not just sports) but reality is different whether we likeit or not

This isn't about money lost. That's been and gone.
A great team like the Spurs..........so how do you beat a team that is better than the one you just lost in the NBA Finals to?
Spurs peaked. That's all it was.

#17 Posted: 6/22/2012 7:19:04 PM Lebron James has a ring and the Miami Heat have won their 2nd NBA Championship.
How good Spoelstra is a coach and whether or not James is one of the game's most successful and dominate players remains to be seen.
While past great teams won CONSECUTIVE NBA Championships my opinion is the Miami Heat will be lucky to make the Eastern Conference Finals next season.

#18 Posted: 6/23/2012 1:48:51 PM Thunder beat LAL, Spurs and Dallas in succession. Heat was not handed anything IMO. Celts went to 7 games and remember Bosh was down and they were down in the Indy series. You earn things in life especially and NBA championship ring. Malone, Sir Charles and all the other greats would gladly trade places to have one. Marino, L. Tomlinson, Jim Kelly and other greats have no rings. |

Bottom line is LBJ is clearly the best player in the NBA and his games trailing Paces 1 to 2 and then trailing Boston 2 to 3 and then OKC 0 to 1 were epic.
He came through.....if he sat on the bench for extended minutes....the heat did no longer looked like the heat
Spoelstra played the guy extended mintues so much (couldn't take him off the floor) that the guy cramped up (in my opinion)
Reportes consistenly say LBJ performance was historic....and folks keep trying to minimize it ,,,,,,or convince us that there was nothing special about what we just saw.
LBJ was dominant the entire playoffs
trust me, if he had a bad game....the media would of framed it and told everyone about how he choked, froze up, is not all that, etc...etc...etc...
But this year....that simply is not the case |
