#152 Posted: 7/20/2012 8:18:41 PM Uncle Gimp, Please start a new thread. This one is way too old. Enough about the IP, since very few of us would ever stay there based upon all these posts. We need some fresh new ideas on where to stay and what is the current odds on the table games being played today.

Suburbia.
I will defintiely go to Hash House, I have heard good things.

#155 Posted: 7/21/2012 8:34:18 PM imsoti8, Why? This guy was probably an alcoholic or a drug addict. He might even be dead by now. On the other hand, he might be a high school kid who dropped out of school and now keeps posters like you alive just to see how many hits the suckers will keep up the count. Give it a rest.

#157 Posted: 8/22/2012 3:16:30 PM I just cancelled my trip to the IP. They had given me a free room but my brother got one at Tropicana and so we had to cancel . They are being fairly good with the late cancellation (day of reservation) .Sorry, no IP review. Will tell all about the Trop if questions. |

#158 Posted: 8/24/2012 3:33:58 PM I've had my comments about the IP in the past when I stayed there. The bed was terrible during my first experience and the bathroom was kind of bad during my second experience.
Lately, I know people that have stayed there, and they've been fine with the place. The bed was supposedly good, the pillows nice (which is what I had an issue about in the past), but right now the place is under a big contraction project outside of it on the strip.

I put a family member in one of these once. I checked in, went to see the room before I had to pick my family member up, and I was impressed. My family member was also very impressed.

#165 Posted: 9/3/2012 6:09:28 PM Horrible. Almost got into a fight watching the super bowl with some thug that just lost $ and was looking to throw for no reason. I was too drunk to even know why I was at IP to begin with, but I know I didnt do anything to piss the guy off, next thing I know some white kid and his posse of friends wanted to fight with me and my wife. Security was no where to be seen for a good 5 minutes till I just told my wife to start walking towards the exit.
I will never ever set foot in that place again. I learned a valuable lesson that trip, stick to the upscale casinos at all times, it might cost a bit more but its safety. I dont give a darn if you are jackie chan, you cant do anything about 10 guys that want to kill you.
Slumming sounds like fun till you are rolling around with a ferw dimes in your pocket and some gang that sees you as a mark. |

#167 Posted: 9/6/2012 10:04:19 PM I stay at the IP every once in a while. I'm never in my room when in Vegas, and too drunk to realize if a bed is good or not. If you are looking for a cheap nights stay, in the center of the strip and action, and a place to lay down at night, I would suggest IP |

#169 Posted: 9/10/2012 2:59:45 PM First time in Vegas was at the IP. Only thing I remember of it was that some maid from hell pounded on our door endlessly at 6am, even though we had it dead bolted and the "do not disturb" sign out. We had to yell "GO AWAY!" ten times before she would stop. Then a half hour later she would be back for more.
Fifteen years later someone convinced me to try it again. This time there was a thug convention in the stairwell outside our room all night.
Avoid at all costs.

#170 Posted: 9/11/2012 10:48:30 AM I went inside the IP a couple weeks before this years College Football season started. I had just arrived back in tow, so I was curious if the money lines had been up yet, and the older lady that works the book had no idea that the money line even existed. I just walked out of the book and asked myself why did I even bother coming in here..lol
It was convenient for me at the time which is why. Construction is currently ongoing in the front of the IP.

#171 Posted: 9/13/2012 8:59:54 PM I love that this thread is still going, lol
THE IP SUX, DON'T SPEND ANY TIME IN THE ACTUAL CASINO
however, the room was actually clean, that is the only thing to say about it, lol. Nothing special at all, but clean. If you are going cheap on the room, the IP isn't bad, but holy darn the casino is terrible. The sportsbook is laughable, lol. Hash House is bomb though. That deal that Slater posted is nice, the Rio is nice, definitely way better than the IP, but it's location does kind of suck if you want to hang out on the strip.
Dudes trip, staying at the IP is alright, bringing your lady/trying to bang chicks, DO NOT STAY THERE

#172 Posted: 9/14/2012 4:55:06 PM The restaurant the IP has at the top of their escalator is very good. It's one of those places where the food is good and they give you way too much.
Also, can't beat the IP location.
