#1 Posted: 3/27/2012 10:11:55 AM Just heard O'Shea's will be closing at the end of April
Finding it hard to get any further details
Always made sure this was a stop on any trip, from the 24 hour food court, $5 roulette and black jack. 8AM vodka orange juices'

#3 Posted: 3/27/2012 4:15:36 PM It was a good place to crash and play cheap during the day..Had some decent times there just playing for the F of it and drinking with other tourists you did not want in the hotel you were staying in..
One day my buddy cashes in $30 odd chips at the cage and gets the cash, plus the chips pushed back to him.. .We walk outside and 20 minutes later I cash them in (again) .

#4 Posted: 3/27/2012 4:35:54 PM I played craps there one afternoon, all the tourists had red/white all over the board.I was fading the point when ever it was 4/10 laying the point for $100/black chip. A guy next to me had 4 point and when he threw everyone looked down at the other end except me as I watched the dealer palm my $100 chip. I screamed bloodymurder and the box man said "Laslo did you take that bet down?"The dealer took the chip out of his POCKET and put it back and the game went on. The shooter 7ed,I got paid, and I ran out of there. May they rot in hell. |

#5 Posted: 3/27/2012 5:01:54 PM Loved this place for the drunken, clueless poker players in the middle of the night (Not hating - I was one of them!)

How do these strip poker games work? Was always curious when I saw the signs but never made a move to play. |

#15 Posted: 3/29/2012 4:45:15 PM Cheap beer and easy women. Some of the freakist people I've even seen on the strip. Where else can you poney up to the bar in Vegas and share drinks with gamblers, leprequans, escorts, street person and pimps. Last year watched an angry black pimp try to prop up his heroin addicted white escort so she could make money for him but was too high to stay upright on a stool. Many of night stopped in there for cheap beer after blowing all my money in Mirage and Caesars. First four times ever went to the place and picked up three different women. Gonna miss the place when I go mid-May. May have to resort to IP, yikes... |

#16 Posted: 3/29/2012 5:13:29 PM I'll miss the food court in the back where they had Subway and Burger King. Every time I go to Vegas, I stop in and eat lunch there (subway) and watch some jokers play beer pong. Fun place to chill and eat cheap. |

#19 Posted: 3/31/2012 10:48:54 AM Wow! I don't venture into this forum very often, but I saw this thread topic and had to shed a tear. I loved this place when I was younger. Had some HUGE nights there!! Some of my biggest in all of Vegas! Also passed out drunk at a BJ table one day there, at about noon during the NCAA tournament. One visit, We had a BJ dealer that hooked us up big-time and then we tipped accordingly, a nice little operation that went on for a few days.
O'Sheas will be missed, a nice little Irish pub that we could gamble at. Perfectly located too! |

#21 Posted: 4/1/2012 5:39:11 PM How anyone could eat @ O'Sheas baffles me...if you want to die that bad make a noose and go out and find a tree...
thank god this shithole is going away since my lowclass friends always want to drag me there for some reason..if i wanted to watch a bunch of skanks and dickheads play beerpong and drink watered down garbage beer,, and play blackjack with drunkasses who don't know how to play i'd stay in oklahoma instead of visiting vegas.
Agreed with the Stardust comment...corporate greed tore down one of the greats and that side of the strip looks like Beirut. |

#23 Posted: 4/6/2012 1:31:02 PM O'Shea's is the spot! I love that place. So sad to see it go.
I like sitting at the BJ table by the door mid day and feeling a nice breeze come in from the strip.
Definitely the place to be as a young broke vegas newbie. Pissed that my next trip isn't until May 20th. I wanted to see O'Shea's one last time.
Aren't they building a ferris wheel type thing over looking the strip right there? I've heard so many different rumors. |
