I actually don't parlay that often but when I'm up big I get greedy and I will play a few. LOL. On average I probably play about 4-5 parlays a month. Bovada sent me a email talking about a promo for $10 parlays for the next 2 weeks in baseball so I think I fell for that a little bit as well. |

#8254 Posted: 5/2/2012 2:21:43 PM We got a little greedy with that LA-Den Under yesterday but that's ok. Today the best bet is the Nashville Predators at home against a tough Phoenix team. Nashville is great at home and doesn't want to go down 3-0. Look for them to come out with lots of energy and pull out the win. Cash in on the Predators. In baseball we turn to the Dodgers who are becoming a serious challenge to the Giants and D-Backs. With Kershaw on the mound look for the Dodgers to take down the Rockies. GL everybody and let's make that money. |

#8256 Posted: 5/2/2012 4:19:56 PM I am shocked and saddened by the passing of Junior Seau. Being raised in San Diego I can tell you that Junior is a God there. He did so much good in San Diego. You guys have no idea how hard this will hit the people in San Diego. Let me put this in perspective. In San Diego you have 4 sports icons. 2 of them are in a category by themselves. Junior Seau and Tony Gwynn. Local boys that played for local teams and are completely worshiped in San Diego. After that you have to go down a few notches and you will find. Marcus Allen and Ted Williams. Those guys didn't play for local teams and Marcus played for the hated Raiders. People still love him but he doesn't get the amount of love that Junior and Tony get. Ted Williams is another story. Most young people don't have a sense of baseball history but the oldtimers keep his memory alive. Like I have said before, I had the pleasure of meeting him because he went to my High School Hoover High. Terrell Davis and David Wells get honorable mention but again both those guys played for teams that were either hated or not relevant to San Diego fans. |

#8257 Posted: 5/2/2012 5:03:27 PM Yo SmoothD I agree on Nashville but that's just personal opinion.
Does anyone think the line on Memphis is fishy considering the other night? Everyone likes the Clips now and the over…
Since we're talking about personal opinions I think Orlando looks like a good home dog tonight. I like Orlando and the over.
NO SYSTEM PLAYS AT THIS TIME. 5/6 for the week.

Sorry Czech it was SmoothD who posted this. I was on my cell phone reading it and I thought it was your "smart" play. My bad. |

#8260 Posted: 5/2/2012 5:44:29 PM Thank you, Smooth, for posting your insight about Junior Seau. I knew that he was loved by San Diegans, but your post put things in perspective and will inform others as to his stature in the community.
I didn't know much about him other than his on the field exploits where, for a time, he was the most feared linebacker around. Offensive coordinators had to develop a special gameplan when facing him due to his uncanny speed, power, and ball-hawking instincts. He was as INTENSE a player as there ever was. His was the kind of intensity that was contagious and time and again resulted in his teammates overachieving all around him. The textbook definition of a fiery spirit should have Junior's picture next to it. His nickname was "SAY-OW" and he will be missed.
In remembrance of Junior Seau, I will not be posting any plays today. I still cannot believe that this has happened! It is a truly sad chain of events that led him down this path. My prayers go out to his girlfriend, family, friends, former coaches and teammates and everyone in the Football community that was touched by him.
RIP Junior Seau 1969-2012

#8261 Posted: 5/2/2012 6:06:21 PM Thanks Bama for the kind words of Junior Seau. Even though I don't live in SD anymore. I will always be that boy that grew up in East San Diego in a great multi cultural neighborhood. Junior was emblematic of what San Diego is all about. The most optimistic city in America. But don't get it twisted they breed them tough down there. It may be sunshine and blue skies but don't forget it's a military town. Navy and Marines and that mental toughness is evident in almost any athlete from San Diego. Ken Norton comes to mind when you think about what he accomplished. |

#8262 Posted: 5/2/2012 6:06:47 PM Ok I'm locked & loaded for W14 tonight, I'm taking the Gaints over Miami. I was torn on weather to take the under on this or the Washington game, but decided to take this. Wish I had got on that Brewers pick like the leader, not sure what happen in that line, he's got it at +106, the line now is at -158, anyone know what happen?

#8263 Posted: 5/2/2012 6:20:12 PM Wow-For those of you that like drama. Have you heard about Sarah Phillips? Here's the dirty details!
http://deadspin.com/5906658/is-an-espn-columnist-scamming-people-on-the-internet Some of you may remember her from her association with Covers. I would read her columns and we corresponded occasionally since we both live in Oregon. I notice 2 things about her from the beginning. Her pics didn't seem to match but I thought well that could just be me not knowing her personally and maybe she looks different because she dyed her hair or something. I really didn't give it much thought. She told me that she read our thread sometimes and liked it. When I invited her to get together in downtown Portland for a "Covers" party with other Portland members. She never responded and I never had direct communication with her again. Now I see why. I believe this is a black eye on ESPN because she used them "allegedly" to perpetuate her scam. ESPN has announced that they have fired her from her column on ESPN's playbook. Covers has an article outlining their reaction to this as well. http://www.covers.com/index.aspx. This is truly a cautionary tale about some people's lack of moral values. I applaud Covers for not running away from this story and keeping us updated on this scandal. Read all the juicy details and post your opinions about it on our thread. |

Sorry Czech it was SmoothD who posted this. I was on my cell phone reading it and I thought it was your "smart" play. My bad. Yeah Mathteach that was me. Guilty as charged but you got to admit that Under almost came in. That's not the first time I have fallen in love with a pick. It will only happen when I'm hot like I am right now. I have been winning at about an 80% clip the last 2 weeks on Bovada so I will get carried away believe me. |

#8266 Posted: 5/2/2012 6:36:37 PM If you're on Twitter put in a search of Sarah J Phillips. This thing is getting bigger by the moment with people seriously questioning why ESPN would be involved with someone doing the things she is accused of. Apparently she was trending on Twitter earlier today. I got wrapped up in the Seau incident and didn't notice. This will shed a lot of light on how company's hire writers on the internet Covers has to be breathing a sigh of relief that this all happened on ESPN's watch that's for sure. |

#8270 Posted: 5/2/2012 7:02:23 PM Alright guys here's my sharp plays for the night
SA under 202.5 Memphis -6.5
Both are line moves and busters on the other sides and I like them. 5/6 for the week so far on plays that meet all 3 and these qualify. |
