#51 Posted: 1/12/2011 11:46:06 PM It's amazing how often this garbage happens. Everything seems comfortable, there's barely any time left on the clock for the moose... and then something strange happens. We start to envision in our minds the absolute worst possible scenario, the most unlikeliest of events, something that seems nearly impossible... yet for some reason, we can picture it vividly.
And then it happens. This is one of those nights. New York had to hit a prayer three pointer, and then Utah had to somehow turn the ball over on the inbound pass.
THAT. friggin. HAPPENED.

#52 Posted: 1/12/2011 11:46:32 PM How does Deron Williams commit a TO with 8 sec. left......and inbound pass and they get fouled....oh well...Amare probably would have made 1 from 1/2 court if the Jazz had mad a couple more...

It happen to me once, it was a free $10 bet and I lost it because I didn't take the 1/2 pt offered on a 5 team parlay.

#59 Posted: 1/12/2011 11:49:47 PM Damn I had Knicks 6.5. Been there though but not on Stoudemire three and fluke turnover

I only had one straight play for 100, but I am still in shock....I REALLY wish I had just seen the final, and not seen the finish....
Part of betting the NBA, but one of the worst mooses I have ever seen... |

#64 Posted: 1/12/2011 11:55:21 PM I think utah-6.5 was robbed in the final seconds of the game, where D.Will grabbed the final rebound on a miss shot by NY and was wrapped ,it should be a foul. .Have you seen it?

#65 Posted: 1/12/2011 11:58:07 PM Wasn't watching the game. Just sitting in a hotel in Cali doing some work at my laptop and watching the score update.
Guess I better cancel the stripper I ordered 30 minutes ago.

I just watched the end of the game again and I have to be honest... it certainly looks fishy. Granted you can't see if any contact is made, but it's clear that the Knicks were trying to intentionally foul Williams. There were about three second left and two to three Knicks players were huddled around him. Again, you can't really see if they're making a play for the ball or if they're trying to foul... but why would they be making a play for the ball? In fact after the no call, Stoudemire even looks over at the ref for a second in shock he didn't blow the whistle.
If anyone has the resources to upload a video of the final seconds, you'll see what I'm talking about. Either the refs just wanted to get the darn out of there and go home, or they purposely bit the whistle because of "other" reasons altogether.
The moral of the story? Always bet on the dogs.
