As always, I am capping the line, not the matchup. My only goal is to beat the closing number by betting early before the market sets itself. If I do that consistently, I believe I will be profitable. Along with my units I will be tracking CLV (total units I have beaten closing line) and CLV Profit (actual units won or saved by betting early instead of waiting for the closing line).

Lost with the White Sox on Sunday, but don't regret the play at all. Got it at +180 and it closed +161, I will take my chances with that every day. Was not able to take advantage of that good line however as they didn't get it done, so no CLV profit accumulated.

I'm not sure why this line opened -105/-105. The superior pitcher and squad belongs to the Nationals, and the home field advantage for the Mets is not enough to offset and make this an even line. Looking at a line from two days ago, you had Jair Jurrjens (same caliber pitcher as Edwin Jackson) and the Braves (similarly caliber team to the Nats) lined at -108 against the Mets in NY... except that was against R.A. Dickey. Dickey is superior to Pelfrey, so I lined this one in the -115 to -120 range for Washington. Think this opener is about 10 to 15 cents off.

Glad I was quick on the trigger on those. BetOnline just moved those two to +100 and -105 respectively.
