Kent St has the Mac locked up...Ohio has come back down to earth after that big start to the season..they got their fools handed to them last weekend in Ball St....not much for either to play for here..both going to bowls....Ohio has tons of injuries...still Kent St should cover the -10.5 at home...

Kent St -10.5

if this game was 3 weeks ago obviously you have to go with Kent St, but since they have nothing really to play for except pride. I'm reluctant to lay the points. this is a no play for me.

i don't think Kent is the type of team who is going to phone in a game like this just cuz the MAC is locked up... could happen, but i think they are having fun winning games, and you don't want to stop that train when you're riding it...

two teams heading in opposite directions... can't bet anyway other than to stay on the train...

Kent (-9.5)

This game actually DOES mean something to Kent State.  While it is a long shot, Kent State winning out gives them a shot at the BCS top 16, and a chance to be the non-AQ school to play in one of the big bowls.  They were named by the BCS as one of 3 non-AQ schools that still have a shot.

good point, dte421... people over-use the lack of motivation angle in CFB... the math is never that simple, because teams have different levels of bowl games to play for...

Kent St. hasn't seen a whole lot of bowl action over the years... so they aren't a team like Oklahoma or Oregon, that is just ho-hum about their season at this point... people on campus are excited, and that makes the players excited... to win!  not just to show up...

Wow @ the morons saying Kent has nothing to play for. How about keeping a top 25 ranking, and improving bowl game. That said, I will only tease them. Don't like laying DD to a good team.
