#105 Posted: 10/10/2012 3:46:01 PM Hi guys new here. I love this place and how supportive everyone is. Its all about making some money and sharing ideas. I may be right and I may be wrong, but hopefully I'll throw some things out there to think about, and help you make your own decisions.
Im taking K-St. big. (K-St. -6 1/2 @ Iowa St.)
For the past two weeks I've read you guys bitching about TCU and their poor play to the point of even wondering if there was some shaving going on. So what does my dumbass do? I bet TCU last weekend. It was a lesson I plan on using to getting my money back and more on this weekend. First TCU is young and makes alot of mistakes. Then throw in the 5 turnovers and a new QB and its no wonder a good Iowa St. team wins. From the outside, The cyclones look like giant killers, when in reality TCU was ripe for the picking.
K-St. is no Iowa St. They are seriously legit. I like Iowa St. and root for them when they dont conflict with my own interests! But lets face it, Jack Trice Stadium offers about the same excitement as taking the family to a picnic in Central Park. Something exciting could happen, but it doesn't have anything to do with the park. The Cyclones come off what they feel is a huge win, and it is sort of. But after the first quarter, the hangover starts in. I think Rhoades is a great coach and the Cyclones have a good D, but the Wild Cats are just too much. The only qualm I have is K-St. looking ahead to WV, but even that isnt going to be enough for Ia St. Play K-St. and have a nice steak on me.

#107 Posted: 10/10/2012 4:39:05 PM I agree completely .... Missouri is a tough home crowd, and how can you make your biggest bet on a road team giving up alot of points. Its just not good business. Not only do you have to win the game but you need to do it by a large margin at a rowdy stadium ??
Seems like insanity |

#108 Posted: 10/10/2012 4:47:09 PM the_underdog - your right he won't run it up on his old friend but they would still have to try really hard not to cover the 21 as Missouri will be lucky to score
jackal4422 - have you seen Missouri play this year? |

Insanity is one of my better qualities.
Have you ever been to Faurot Field? Rowdy crowd is not a phrase I would use to describe it.
What is good business? Betting on a team I think will score once at the most ?

#115 Posted: 10/10/2012 7:42:16 PM Kansas State has won four straight games in what many people call
'Farmageddon'. The spread hasn't been as kind though as it's split 5-5
in the past 10 matchups. Because of their ground game and defense, the
Wildcats are 6-1 ATS in their last seven road games and 4-1 ATS overall.
The Cyclones are 4-1 ATS in their last five conference games. The under
has hit four times in the last five meetings in Iowa State. Total game points 39-40

#119 Posted: 10/11/2012 6:21:34 PM Train... Any details on Ark? I saw their leading tackle LB out for season (Highsmith). Not real sure what KU's attack is, but if they use the running QB, ark D is in trouble. Thats been the D's biggest weakness so far. Now we are 2nd string on 2 LBs, 3rd string on corners. We could give up 20-30pts to a bad offense. Just my opinion. We have been less than stellar all yr, but we always seem to struggle as big chalk. Just curious to hear your thoughts. Much respect... |

Kentucky has been worked over by 3 very tough defenses the last 4 weeks (Florida, So Car, Miss St). Their offense is a ghost of a unit. Their defense has held up pretty well, but I dont think they have the horses to stay in this game long. Arky finally got a little confidence and still has a pretty good offense. I expect to see a pretty good effort out of the Razorbacks @ home since they laid a stinker for the home crowd 3 weeks ago vs Rutgers....
Ark 41 UK 13
I couldnt blame anyone for not wanting to bet on John L however |

I also like the Florida pick...
In addition my other two picks for the week are Ok St -23 over Kansas and Ohio St. -16.5 over Indiana...
GL Train
I like both of your other plays. Dont think I can back Ok St now at -27, but it may be a small play. OSU should have their way with Indy who has to be deflated after last week heroic effort feel short.

Fading Wisky mainly. They are 0-2 on the road and dont do anything on offense really well. Purdue getting a lower line due to getting blown out by Michigan. They played ND tougher than anyone has this year and I expect the same type of game saturday....27-17
