I do have compassion, and congrats on your achievement. I am not saying addiction isnt real, I just dont think its a "disease". You take away alcohol, and all physical symptoms go away (after withdrawal of course), then its just mental demons. I just dont think lack of will power is a disease. I dont think there is a "gene". You like getting drunk and keep doing it until it causes problems, then say it wasnt your fault because you were "sick"? Nah.....I cant put that on the level of cancer or muscular dystrophy....sorry.
