Fact of the matter is we wouldn't have had to watch these two teams if their was a tournament like there should be. Lsu would have eventually gotten exposed for what they are like they should have vs. georgia. That's what we should all be more upset about in all honesty.

darn does this have to do with this game?  Spouting the same stupid stat is not an excuse for a shitty QB. You do realize Jefferson got them past the 50 once in this game and he did not lead a scoring drive at all. So you love Jefferson because he was good in a game in the reg season and got his behind kicked in this one? . Les, is that you?

You act like Lee is good?  Stop calling for the backup QB dude.  Your better than that, Lee hasn't done garbage against Bama his whole career.  So it wouldn't have mattered.  Les Miles knew that garbage too.  I saw Lee in the first game against this same Alabama team, he almost threw a INT on every throw, ha ha.

Jarrett Lee ain't garbage, and Jefferson didn't do garbage either.  Stop talking about what if.  There is no what if, the game is over.  These fools acting like Jarrett Lee has ever been good against this team.  Dude it's the same team they played earlier in the year, same got dam defense.  garbage ain't changed, and Les Miles knew that garbage.  Lee would have been even worse.  Probably made the damn score like 40 nothing,     Throwing Pick 6's and garbage.

JJ has nudes of Les, and threatens to show them if he's not in the game. Only plausible explanation.

Jefferson got them there and he had more mobility, I think it was the right call. It's easy to second guess once the game is over.

Who won the 1st 5 games of the season without Jefferson?

Yes, I played LSU but thankfully had the under as well.

O. Coordinator is where it points, then Miles.  Isn't it their job to adjust and get a feel for the game once something doesn't work after (lets say) the 12th time.  Did they not see Jefferson pitching the option well before contact with the defensive end and/or the option did not work, period.  Fucksakes, O/C did not even call deep pass plays just to stretch the 8 man front....even if it meant to direct Jefferson to overthrow the receiver if covered.  If the coaching staff had so little confidence in Jefferson/Lee, then why not put in Metzenberger or just not play.  Yes, Jefferson sux and is a tentative player, but shouldn't the coaches know this or at least see this so clear after about the 4th option play ...    Lee is not good either IMO, but at some point in the early 2nd half, you have no choice but to make a change in QB (and/or) risk INT's for progress and a possible win.  Yes Bama has a great defence, but not a reason for the LSU coaching staff to just give up.  It's only the National Championship, right!  What the darn else is there to lose.

Maybe Debo Swinney was acting as O/C in this one...lol

The players followed the coaches lead/demeanor.

What a joke. It's like LSU was taking a dive....I will never understand the rationale of not making adjustments and being o.k. with getting your behind kicked.

Exactly.  It all boils down to these overpaid  Master P.E. grads that forget what got them to their high-paying positions in the 1st place and are inept in seeing the need for adjustments in the heat of the moment or at half-time.  Most change their philosophy after they get the big bucks....its like riding a bike and chewing gum, most of these people just can't adjust for the better.   It's just too much to handle at once.

Jarrett Lee stats in the 8 games leading up to the Alabama game.

98 completions  -  155  attempts      63%

1250  yrds       13 td's   1  int.        169 rating

I believe there was  some fundamental break between Jarrett Lee and Miles and Miles was  NOT going to play him,  no matter what.

Thank you. I said the same thing in some other stupid thread that ATL started. Lee should have gotten a few series, that's all we're saying.

Put Lee in and let him throw some hail marys.....at least TRY to do something. Running the option to the weak side a pitching 8 yards behind the line when Bama has 4 guys waiting obviously wasnt the answer....

Les Miles is a friggin idiot....

Remember a few weeks ago when the rumor mill was flying about Lee possible being academically ineligible? Word on the street is that he was in fact ineligible, and Les was trying to save him the embarrassment by not going public, but leaving him no option of getting in the game. Take it for what its worth, but if it is true, that Les Miles is one hell of a players coach.
