- Bob Welch, a guitarist who played with Fleetwood Mac before launching a solo career, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his chest, Nashville, Tennessee, police said Thursday. He was 66.

I used to get him mized up with the old Dodgers pitcher of the same name.  Actually, maybe they are the same guy.

Former bandmates: Fleetwood Mac circa 1972/1973, Welch is seen in the middle

Heyday: Welch, centre, was in the band between 1971 and 1974, and was a guitarist and vocalist. Pictured here in 1973 with (from left) Bob Weston, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood

When I first read this I thought of JOE Walsh but of course no.

Fleetwood Mac was a cover band for the tragic election of Bill Clinton, thats what I think of.

It's in my library too.   I remember "Ebony Eyes" being one of my favorites in junior high.  Worked hard to learn how to play that riff on guitar.

 When I opened this thread I thought that maybe Bob Welch had killed the Jayhawks basketball coach. 

 

Henry-Lilly - Wow those are the same two songs that I identify most with Bob Welch.
