Doing Vegas for New Years for the first time.  Staying at MGM.  What to do?

The last few years i've been there for new years and will be doing again this year. There will be 200K people on the strip and they close down Las Vegas Blvd to cars from about 6pm to 6am.

Most of the hotels throw events and the night clubs are packed. Make dinner reservations later this month or early November if your heading to a top shelf restaraunt. Typically for me I start NYE watching football and drinking. Then we head off the strip for dinner and end the night at XS inside Encore.

Depending on what you like to do and what your intentions are you should have a blast. LY it was so cold in LV this year im hoping for warmer weather.
