Gibby's Montreal. Pre-game dinner & drinks at Gibby's, go to Hockeygame, then nude ballet, then Crescent St. Good Times.

Capitol Grille, downtown Baltimore is excellent.  Can't go wrong with anything there.

nothing like those small homely joints..

anyone ever eat at any place shown on diners drive ins and dives or any other place on food network or travel ch minus the famous names like geno's or gino's or pinky's kinda sh*t...

gotta remember those spots when traveling thru the states...

 In Seattle I'm partial to The Met..............up north here (Arlington,WA) there's a little place simply called "The Bistro"......outstanding grub.

  Ate at a place in Orlando called "TexasdeBrazil"..........holy garbage, if you're hungry for meat that's the place to go.

Living in Florida, I'm blessed to have great local restaurants serving the freshest seafood with some of the best waterfront views on the planet.
To me, good food needs to be combined with a great atmosphere. Chain restaurants exist here for the benefit of the tourists, but the number of top quality local establishments is beyond belief.

Ditka's in Chicago was very nice for a steak house but I am partial to the local restraunts in my area whether it be steakhouses, seafood, american fare, european or sushi.

l.a. doesnt have nice BBQ or certain foods.

But sushi is king here

Love kushiyu and katsuya on ventura blvd.

Chilean sea bass sticks grilled.

And their fish soup brought in tin foil, sick friggin off the hook.

will agree there jose,,love a top shelf lamb chop and the grill filled the bill - a bit snooty but our group was bit under dressed after having been hangin at the harbor all day

Irma's & Irma's Southwest Grill in downtown Houston. No menus & the best authentic Mexican & Southwestern cuisine around. Homemade Tamales, Carne Guisada, Homemade Corn & Flour tortillas, Tilapia Tacos, Chilean Seabass, Roasted Chile Rellenos, Carne Asada...the list goes on & on. Oh! I didn't even mention their Famous Fresh Fruit Lemonade. Family run since 1988 & all still active in the daily running of both restaurants. If you are ever in Houston...a must see.

Carrabba's is much better than the Olive Garden.  You can't compare the two.  That said, maybe I need to get out more. 

I will stick to my guns though because I think Carrabba's is awesome.  I generally think all Mexican food is pig slop, and I like Chinese but never have had authentic Chinese.  I will admit there are many foods and restaurants I have not had the pleasure of trying.
