Big thanks to Marvin for letting me in the contest. I look at it as more of a better outlook and gives more incentive to show what you have behind your picks and weeding out the people who just post random plays. Hope to be able to contribute tomorrow as well. Congrats to all who won tonight and to all who lost. Get it back tomorrow!!!!

VyperATS 7-6-1

GS Warriors -1

Mil Bucks -5

GS/PHI

Golden State has lost eight of its last nine on the road but is catching the 76ers at the right time. Philadelphia has dropped seven straight to fall out of the playoff picture. The 76ers are six games behind the Milwaukee Bucks for the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference and are now 12 games below .500. Their league-worst scoring average has been the biggest reason for the skid, Warriors hanging onto their playoff spot but possibly moving up in the standings.  The Warriors got 19 rebounds from David Lee in his return from a one-game suspension on FridayBogut had hoped to join the team on the road trip but has not been in the lineup and is out indefinitely. The Warriors did not need Bogut to take a 96-89 decision from Philadelphia at home on Dec. 28. Lee scored 25 points and Jack added 16. The 76ers have averaged 88.3 points in the last seven games and have lost their last three home games by an average of 21.7 points.

TOR/MIL

The Milwaukee Bucks have a rather firm hold on the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. They can make that hold even stronger when they host the Toronto Raptors. Milwaukee won a pair of games in Texas earlier this week, topping Dallas and Houston to move back to .500. Monta Ellis was the catalyst on Milwaukee's Lone Star State sweep, scoring 22 points in the win over the Mavericks and 27 against the Rockets, including an off-balance 3-pointer at the buzzer to win it.  Toronto has reached the 100-point mark just once in its last seven games. The Bucks have won eight straight meetings, including a 107-96 win at Toronto earlier this season. Milwaukee C Larry Sanders has scored in double digits in a career-high seven straight games.

BOL to all and may you MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Phx has only surpassed 90 pts 4 times in last 10 games, and have only given up only 100+ in 4 / last 10 games. Unless one is thinking that Atl can go into Phx and whoop some behind. However, also given their history, yes Atl has done poorly in Phx over the years, and yes they have had some high scoring games together, again not the same phx team we r used to seeing score 100+ steady.
Atl as a 4-4.5 pt fav are 1-6 under. Atl is not a team that can string together many wins in a row, Only putting together 4 other streaks over the last couple years of 4 + wins (3 being 4 gm and 1 6 gm streak. Phx is one house that Atl has not had great success in, I'm thinking Atl winning streak goes down the tubes tonight with a Phx win something like 90-86 , 95-89.
Phx last 10 gmes have not been great, however if you look at thier opp over that span they have combined record of 333-245. Atl has been doing decent, however thier last 10 opp records are 257-319. A clear difference in strenth of sched. If we are to look for the games when teams will end a winning streak, I think this is a good spot for this too happen. Considering I think Atl is 2-7 ats @ Phx last 9 games, I like this spot to have Phx come out on top with an underdog ML :)
As my first pick I will take Phx @ + 4

I see some of u mentioning creating your own lines ( turbovtk, cp74).
I was wondering how u make your own lines?

This should be your first step, because u can spot value when true and fair lines are not the same.

10-3

Gonna take the Nets.  4-0 last 4 meetings in Chicago.  Underdog 7-3 ats last 10 meetings.  Road team 4-0 last 4 meetings.  Bulls a little banged up and have only won 5 out of thier last 13.  Nets 14-12 on the road.  Taking the over in the wolves/blazers game.  2 of the 3 refs are prone to the over and one is a push in this totals range.  Over is 4-0-1 last 5 in Portland.  9-1-1 over in last 11 meetings.  I think it will be more competitive than the spread indicates.  BOL!

BRK Nets +5

Over 197.5 MIN Timberwolves-POR Trailblazers

1st home team gets 3, then I look at peer rankings, then H vs A record, then the situation ( rest vs back to back and play off implications for instance)
So for example last night in Boston
Boston -3 cuz at home
Boston - 1 1/2 PR
Boston - 1 H vs A record
Boston - 1 1/2 Situation ( Boston doesn't want to slip to 8th and they are the rested team)
So I had the line at BOS -6 1/2 to -7.
After this short synopsis I check the posted line and if it is off by 1 1/2 - 2 pts I then will use trends and stats to justify either for or against.
Totals are more tricky as I don't set a 'personal' line for those.I look at trends and stats like pace rating and such and don't worry about the number so much and just go with what the recent trends and stats tell me. Or I'll tail Phixer. Lol. Forgot I had tailed Phixer on that crazy total line move in OKC.
So I was a made free throw from from 6-0
Good job again crew!

greengiants 10-11

BK Nets +5

pretty much the same reasoning as Big Unit

-Bulls are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS win

-Bulls are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games vs. a team with a winning road record

-Bulls are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a SU win of more than 10 points

-Bulls are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a S.U. win

-Nets are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games

-Nets are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Chicago

PHI 76er's -1

following the RLM here, what better way to break a losing streak than to face another team on  a losing streak.

-76ers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a SU loss of more than 10 points

-76ers are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games following a ATS loss

-76ers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record

-Warriors are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a S.U. loss

-Warriors are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games following a ATS loss

-Warriors are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 road games vs. a team with a winning home record

-Warriors are 1-8 ATS in their last 9 road games

-Warriors are 0-5 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Philadelphia

-Warriors are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings
