#1 Posted: 9/12/2012 4:35:22 PM The cubs going against a pitcher who can't seem to make it into the 5th inning. Hasn't done so his last 3 starts and wood is pitching a little better for chicago. I think 4-5 wins it for chicago and with the low odds I will back the cubs tonight!

#5 Posted: 9/12/2012 5:14:46 PM I love this play as well...
Also leaning towards your Pack at home this Thurs over the Bears. Can't see GB losing two in a row at Lambo, although I might drop the spread lower than 6 to be on the safe side... |

#6 Posted: 9/12/2012 5:20:05 PM Johnny, I have mixed feelings bout the packer game. 1) Jennings is hurt and may not play. 2) our defense is complete garbage mainly our pass defense because our corners suck and I think Marshall creates problems. However, the packers will not start out 0-2 at home. The packers play well vs cutler and his smack talk wont help chicago I don't think. Gb has been tested playing sf week 1, chicago played a miserable indy team. The spread at 6 is tough to call because chicago can score, however I don't think they stop rodgers on d. Gb 31 chicago 24. And go cubs tonight! |

#7 Posted: 9/12/2012 5:40:28 PM Pack definitively miss the presence of Nick Collins at Safety. Their secondary hasn't looked the same since he was injured last year, and it doesn't help that you guys haven't found an adequate replacement since (although moving Woodson to safety will pay dividens sooner than later).
That being said, I think the Bears aging D will have a hard time covering all of GBs vertical threats, even if Jennings doesn't play. Cobb, Nelson, Jones, and Finley just create too many matchup problems, and historically Rodgers has absoloutely owned the Bears the last couple years, especially at home. I think GB will jump on them early, and I don't see Bears offensive line holding up as well as the studs on the 49ers.
Back to MLB. Cubbies are one of my top picks on the day, and Wood is pitching as well as he has all year, completely owning the Pirates in Pittsburg last week. Let's hope he can keep it rolling |

#8 Posted: 9/12/2012 6:07:40 PM Rizzo got hurt last game and the Cubs lineup does not look good at all. Be prepared for the crappy game of the week but good luck to the Cubs. Hopefully some of the guys left on base will come in for some runs.

#10 Posted: 9/12/2012 6:44:42 PM Dont really like the cubs lineup tonight without Rizzo/Lahair but its too late to turn back. Wood has had good success over Houston in his career and I can only hope for Castro/Soriano to pick up the slack tonight. I think 4 runs wins this game if even that. I would take the under but houston's pitcher is horrible as a starter and I dont trust him. I am thinking maybe 4 to 2 or 4-3 cubbies.
This is the only time as a Brewer fan i want them to win, because i hate all chicago teams |

#12 Posted: 9/12/2012 7:00:04 PM i generally never take 1st 5. But the Advantage has to go to chicago. Houston's pitcher hasnt gotten into the 5th inning since starting for houston which i believe today is his 4th start now. I do think this will be low scoring as chicago does not have a good lineup in but Wood should get it done. I think backing chicago first 5 and full game is a good pick. |

Agree with you with the Cubs. Astros are just a terrible, terrible, terrible side (4 errors can you believe it).
Cubs aren't a whole lot better but they ARE better.
With you on this one - GL to us |

Been tempted but I surf and I'm not prepared to risk becoming too scared to go near the water.
By the way in Western Australia there have been 6 shark attacks (5 fatal) in the last 12 mths
Hope you enjoy it if you get here |

#17 Posted: 9/12/2012 7:32:09 PM thanks man. We were just looking into it for ideas. I think it would be a once and a lifetime experience and I love sharks but yet am aware of what they can do. The thing that worries me most about australia is the deadly snakes. it seems you have alot of those there. lol |

Snakes, funnel web spiders, sharks, deadly jellyfish, blue ringed octopus - but hey you're gonna go somehow! LOL
To be honest you don't run into too many problems with any of the above.
Lifes pretty good down here so I hope you get the chance to visit.
