#1 Posted: 4/13/2012 3:13:15 PM I mean Wainwright's home record is phenomelnal.
There will be all kinds of fanfare for the opener, incl. "gold embossed numbers on the unis."
Hated cubbies in town...
Schamrdia just had a lil victory lap in his debut, now on the road vs the best in the world...and cubbie lineup in for a long day.
Cards ML -185 |

I dunno. Very diff town they're in. "Hot bats" yesterday doesn't always pan out for tomorrow after getting up in a diff hotel, diff lighting, diff pitcher. |

#9 Posted: 4/13/2012 3:33:57 PM Laugh all you guys want. This is baseball. Any team can win on any day. It's -190 which directly means that the odds makers think that Cubs have about a 37% chance of taking this game.
Don't act like a bunch of newbies. Money is made in this sport by playing the dogs in the right spots.
Best of luck to everybody |

#11 Posted: 4/13/2012 3:44:08 PM I understand giving the cubbies a chance--this game will be low scoring for sure. Cards will push hard to plate 3-4 runs. Cubbies Wainright willl be on a pitch count, so he will be stellar in his time on the rubber.
Cards however proved in playoffs and Series just how tough they were in low scoring games. Diff team I know, but still major players out there and the same culture.
Cubs however are popular for i dunno what reason, exc. being 'cute' I guess, or winning now and then when they shouldn't... |

#12 Posted: 4/13/2012 3:49:41 PM To answer your question: you beat the cardinals by scoring more runs than them.
Best of luck today. |

#13 Posted: 4/13/2012 4:13:14 PM And it has nothing to do with the "popularity" of the cubs. They are a MLB team. When there is value in a ML, you play the side accordingly.
But it seems you just want to hear how much better the cards are than the cubs. We all know that. I will take the nearly 2:1 cash on the ML and watch the game. |

#15 Posted: 4/13/2012 4:21:14 PM samzadadraa or what/ever his name throws heat, i know the cards will likely win, but i'll like a 2-1 game if this weather allows both pitchers to pitch to their pitch counts. lets hope for a low scoring game! |

#18 Posted: 4/13/2012 5:51:02 PM Wainright might not be the same guy coming off Tommy John. Maybe a good fade if his lines are based on pre-TJ history.
