Well...I knew the Marlins were overvalued but still took'em and lost. Still not changing my gameplan by taking good teams in their home openers.
Tigers -137
4.11 units to win 3 units
Reds -141 4.23 units to win 3 units
Phillies/Pirates Under (1st 5 innings) Gotta wait for a line.
Like I said with the Marlins...there's really know writeup I can give. I'm simply taking top teams playing in home openers. With Verlander you'll win money if you bet on him every game and the Reds are poised to win the NL Central this season.

Risking 3.6 units to win 3 unitsBedard looked good this Spring. He won the #1 job by default but he's still worthy of it. When he's healthy he's a really good starter and the Phillies offense has so many question marks in it. Doc is Doc so we don't need to go into that. |

Dodgers/Padres Under 3 (1st 5 innings) -120
Risking 3.6 units to win 3 units Volquez was suspended a while back for banned substance. Was that the reason he had that 1 incredible season back in 2008? Maybe...maybe not. Going to the Padres will be the real tell to see if that was a fluke season. I think he has a very impressive season this year. His one problem is control and when pitching at Petco...you don't have to be perfect. I think he'll be able to hold the Dodgers in check here and put together a nice season. Oh yea...and Kershaw will shut out the Padres for at least 5. |
