I still think the Rangers are clearly better with Cliff Lee, though. Even if the Rangers win...it doesn't mean the Rangers are better off without him.

As a Ranger fan I like having Beltre over Lee. We get him everyday and his D and bat overcome Lee in my opinion. I will admit I was pissed at first but looking back Daniels did right.

Well that's a different subject. It's not" Beltre or Lee...pick one"...it's "is the Rangers' rotation better with or without Cliff Lee starting in it".

Berkman was an absolute steal last year by the Cardinals.

Looks like Beltran could be this year's steal.   Small sample size only through 4/19, but .341 avg, 5 hr, 7 rbi, .460 obp, but this dude could have a "Berkman-like" year if he stays relatively healthy.  He claim his knees have felt better than they have in years.
