That is the point. None of this is pleasant and never has been. Race has defined this country. It was evident upon its shores when Europeans came upon it, it was evident to delineate who should be subjected to forced labor for centuries, it defines immigration policies and now, it has become so engrained in the American racial consciousness, many can't even say the words 'food stamps' without thinking 'black person.'
I'm not going to 'go away' because it makes you feel uncomfortable. I post the truth whether you like it or not from an anti-racist stance.
No one likes to be called out as one and today in America, whenever the subject of racial inequality is even hinted at; eyes roll, mouths puff and murmurs begin. It happens all the time. Except if you are the aggrieved party, that is, the minority.
The anger should flow through your veins. I'd be pretty angry at myself if I wrote what you did.
Reflect on it. Come to terms with it and reverse it. It can happen today.
