#3 Posted: 6/28/2012 6:57:50 PM It does for sure. Although most of the contracts are just for show. But these same owners are going to start bitching about the contracts and salries when they are the ones signing them. |

#9 Posted: 6/29/2012 3:50:00 PM be interesting to see what the $$$ is. will probably come out after July 1st. should be at least Fleury numbers
10 years a LONG time. "Johannes Schnell" had a great season and playoffs BUT so did Jim Carey with the Capitals back in the mid 1990's. then he came unstuck |

#10 Posted: 6/29/2012 9:57:49 PM 10 years with 5.8 cap hit.
It's pretty much Rinne's deal 7yrs/49mil with 3 more years added on to lower the cap hit.

any yearly breakdown, wiggins? like you said, sounds like another "front load fraud" to keep down the "salary cap hit" |

Did they release the year by year cap hit ?? Is it 5.8 million a year cap hit every year ? It's very rare that the cap hits are even for a contract that long. |

#17 Posted: 7/1/2012 3:51:25 PM Ya, THANKS wiggins
$7 million first 7 years is actually somewhat higher than I was expecting. LA better hope he doesn't turn into a "Bob Lou", "Bryz" or (YIKES!!!) a Jim Carey-Blaine Lacher "one season wonder" |
