MIA (+4.5)
|
| Most football experts agreed the Dolphins would struggle
mightily throughout the 2012 season. However, four games in, MIA is proving
prognosticators that just the opposite is the case. Deficient in only one
element, pass defence, look for a solid all-around game yet again from this
fish this Sunday when they square off with the Bengals in Cincinnati. True,
the Cats have been monsters with the pass of late, scorching teams for big
gains through the aerial attack of QB Dalton-to-WR Green. However, with surprisingly-apt
rookie QB Tannehill at the helm for MIA and the stunning run game of RB Reggie
Bush finally showing its true potential after 7 long NFL seasons, take the
fish to keep this once close. |

KC (+7.0)
|
| KC has had its downs throughout the 2012 season as evidenced by
its 1-3 seasonal record. The Chiefs offence, however, (in spite of the play
of QB Matt Cassel) has had many ups to it, particularly when it comes to run
offence. With a rushing attack that would strike fear in the heart of any NFL
front four, look for KC RB Charles & Co. to keep this one within striking
distance, maybe even pull out an upset, for the Arrowhead faithful this
Sunday afternoon. |

IND (+8.5)
|
| The Pack is the better team here but it won’t be too long before
that truth turns on itself. IND QB Andrew Luck has shown poise and
determination in his three starts since being selected first overall in 2012
NFL draft which has, in turn, has translated into encouraged play all-around
by Colts players. GBay, on the other hand, haven’t resembled the same squad
that took the NFL by storm over the course of the 2011 season. Though their
defence is vastly improved, the Pack’s struggles seem now to have found their
way to the offensive side of the ball, able to produce in the clutch but
rarely allowing themselves to avoid such predicaments altogether. Coming off a bye and sure to be playing
inspired for their tragically ill head coach Joe Pagano, take the Colts to
cover the TD+ |

CLE (+9.5)
|
| With so many Giants regulars out for this match, look for the
Browns and their ability to keep games within plausible (yet rarely achieved)
comeback territory intact. New York is sure to be staring down their tough
schedule ahead over the coming weeks and, as historically evident, likely to
recognize the skill-level of the opponent before their own eyes only in the
final minutes of the ball game. |

PHI (+3.5)
|
| The Eagles propensity of late for hairline wins will come to an
end this Sunday in Pittsburgh. Coming off a bye week that followed a
collapsing loss at the hands of the ever-underachieving Oakland Raiders, Steeltown
will be looking for a ‘W’ to calm the worries of their fan base who, as the
weeks carry on, are sure to recognize the declining all-around play of their
ball club. PHIs merry-go-round of turnovers in 2012 is sure to mask these
symptoms for one more week. |

WAS (+3.5)
|
| Both of these squads suffer from the same affliction – the
inability to quell one particular element of their opponent’s offensive
attack. Seeing as the game is taking place in Washington, look for the home
side Skins and their prolific run game (ATLs Achilles heel) to edge out the
Falcons inexhaustible pass attack (WAS Achilles heel) for the win. Outdoors, ATL
QB Matty Ice’s play is often just that – frozen. |

#11 Posted: 10/7/2012 12:57:42 PM Thanks. I appreciate the accolades-they don't go unnoticed.
Criticism is also welcome just please keep it constructive. If I've overlooked something (ie. a stat, factoid, etc), let me know about it. Just ensure your argument is stronger than 'You're an idiot' & we'll be good. haha.
Enjoy the games today everyone!

#13 Posted: 10/7/2012 1:05:37 PM GBay just not the same this season. Colts coming off a bye + the ever-improving play of QB Luck + coach falling ill to a horrible disease should provide enough incentive for Indy to cover a TD+ in their own house. Anyone, for that matter, in the NFL dogged by a TD or more on their own field usually seems like a bad play to me
